That Argonian. Holy shit, that Argonian.

Fuck humans, I'm going to be a lizard-assassin.
Welcome to the club.
OP: Like I needed another reason to roll my usual Argonian assassin/thief. The Argonians look fantastic.

Argonians look pretty good . They look a little more "dinosaur-ish" than other games. Everything else either looks outright fugly to just alright... mainly due to the repulsive graphics engine more than anything. Yuck... even Oblivion characters looked better than some of these.
How is it possible for somebody to be so wrong?

Is there a picture of Bretons?
None yet to my knowledge. Maybe one of the old screenshots? Bretons aren't that visually interesting, which is probably why no reviewer chose to play as one. There are more screens to be revealed though:
Ausgamers (NORD)

Gamespot (ORC WITH YELLOW FACE PAINT)

Gamespy (AUTHOR DOESN'T SPECIFY)

Gamesradar (ARGONIAN WITH HORNS)

Gamepro.de (IMPERIAL - "Sleek hair, beard, cool, a little war paint around the eyes and a scar on the cheek")

FZ.se (NORD - blonde barbarian)

XPlay (FEMALE ARGONIAN; "lizard lady with a cute tail")

Possibly more pending from London and Gamescom hands on previews:

Pete Hines Aug 15: "Last day of Skyrim hands-on in London. Chars being played today: two Khajiit, a Nord, an Argonian, and a Dark Elf (all males)."

Hope that the Gamespy guy played a Breton.

In the old pictures, the male Imperial is actually a Red Guard, but the second one is Imperial.

Also, I think the High Elves are actually Dark Elves.

No Bretons, or how about a new race?

Same, besides the Nords Bretons are my favorite race.

They are a mixed bread between High Elf and Nedic.

Updated the thread with a new image of an Argonian.

Doesn't look like a Redguard to me. I'll just leave it as it is because there was no confirmation of anything.

What?

I wish people would read the thread sometimes, these are screenshots of characters the reviewers and journalists made. No new race is possible since these are the only normal ones. Plus, these are the only ones that fit in the setting, Akaviri races suddenly appearing in Skyrim wouldn't make much sense.

1. He is either a Red Guard with a lighter complexion, or an Imperial with a very dark complexion.
2.My bad, but can you please use the names that most people can immediately recognize? The WOOD ELVES still may be DARK ELVES.
3. 200 years between games is a lot of time, and while Bretons have never been a fan favorite or even that interesting, let's not rule out the possibility.

EDIT: I'm actually going to call the Red Guard/Imperial a Nord. The look of his armor compared to the Imperial/Breton(her pale skin could be a trick of Bethesda's new engine but I'm not ruling it out as a possibility) women sells him as a Nord, and his face paint makes it pretty obvious as well.

Since nothing is confirmed, I'll just put him as a question mark.

Okay, updated the thread.

That would be messing with the lore, which would piss off A LOT of people.

Would it kill them to show some female characters? I ..think...the argonian is female but im starting to get nervous that they have taken female characters out of the game I don't think I've seen a single screenie with one yet. There was a woman with brown hair but maybe that was an npc I dont know.

I think they are looking great though. I love the style of the Bosmer.
Found a female Redguard...

Edit:

And a Dunmer

Not exactly a couple of beauties, but maybe the people who made them just suck at character creation.

But look at that dog!!! Awww. Who's a good boy?!? You are!

Yeah I saw them on the ES facebook page I like the redguard but the dark elf looks kind of odd, pretty sure the male didn't have those massive eyebrow things lol.

How did they screw up the Bosmer that much? He looks more like a fucking High Elf than a Bosmer.
Now be honest. Would you really prefer they still looked like...
Is that not the most punchable face you have ever laid eyes on?
Of course I don't. I want them to look like this.

Well, seeing as that's a modded face model and not really representative of what Bosmer look like, we'll doubtless see something similar once the Skyrim mods start appearing.

Just to add, races are as per usual, confirmed.
