Glad to have you aboard. Read the rules, respect others, and learn how to use the quote button, so that people will know when you are responding to them.

Enjoy!

Same here mate, but I think that if you just act like you would act on any other forum, you (and I) will do just fine.

There's some terrible grammar to go with my first post.

Howdy partner! It so happens that today marks 3 years since I joined so have a slice of cake.

As long as you read the rules and act nicely then you'll have a whale of a time. I'd suggest checking out the <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups>User Group section as that's where I've had the most fun.

Also note the "Reply" button doesn't really do much. Use the Quote button and the quoted person will get a nice little message saying they've been quoted. They really need to remove the reply button. It's just confusing.

Why don't noobs ever learn that the best way to avoid being treated badly for being a noob is to not announce it. We'd be able to tell from your post count and join date anyway >_>

I'm kind of sick of "Hi, I'm new here" threads.

We'll know you're new here because of the join date.

Nah I'm just kidding man. Welcome ;) Make sure to read the rules with a fine tooth comb, because those that don't get their souls raped by the devil himself.

Welcome! Welcome to Escapistmagazine.com! You have chosen, or been chosen, to relocate to one of our finest remaining Internet Utopias. I thought so much of Escapistmagazine.com, that I elected to establish my administration, here, in the Forums, so thoughtfully provided by our Moderators. I am proud to call Escapistmagazine.com my home. And so, whether you are here to stay, or passing through to parts unknown, welcome, to Escapistmagazine.com. It's safer here.

Better than basement jokes, eh?

You'll do fine, just be yourself, and be nice to people, just like real life really. Eventually you'll get the hang of things and posting will feel less awkward.
