Love the art and graphics look great and as usual Dwayne Johnson makes everything fun. Looking forward to it.

Looks like a hard sell. Don't know why; maybe it's the pacific setting not really breathing that typical warm and fuzzy Disney vibe, maybe it's because it's centered around a culture most audiences won't particularly give too many shits about... Or maybe it's because it reminds me of Lilo and Stitch.

I'm also guessing we're in for the usual 'young, free-thinking girl wants to break from tradition that's holding back her free-thinking ways'.

Looks cute. I'm not sure I'm sold on it, though, probably because, while the trailer does a good job showing off the visuals, it doesn't show much else. No real story reveals (Besides telling us there's a girl and a God), and only the slightest hint of tone.

So, not excited for the movie proper, but I am interested in Trailer Number 2.

Maybe it suffers from "bad first trailer" syndrome, but this looks about as interesting as "Brave".
Which isn't that bad, I liked Brave enough, it's just not that interesting, I would love to see more about the actual plot before i judge it, though.

Given recent Disney animation track records (did people forget Wreak It Ralph, Frozen, Tangled, Big Hero 6 and the recent Zootopia? All of which were better than the recent Pixar film The Good Dinosaur, time will tell if Finding Dory will be good or not), I have high hope for this yet.

Was that sarcasm?

I find the setting quite refreshing but in saying so I have yet to watch Lilo and Stitch. I actually sold already and became fully invested in this Maui mythology (Yawn, I already know the common mythology gods already like Hercules and Thor). Heck I even became interested at Hinduism from the shot movie to The Good Dinosaur, "Samjay Super Team". Ok sure the free spirited girl isn't a new thing bu I'm willing to let that slide if the others part hold up.

Eh I'll probably give it a watch, I'm sure it will be watchable, maybe even enjoyable, but as of the first trailer, I'm not particularly over the moon about it. Need to see more.

Still I imagine it will be on par with, if not more enjoyable than BFG and much more enjoyable than the Assassin's Creed movie.

Demi-god.
And honestly, I prefer a trailer to not give story points away. I"m sick of trailers that give everything away to the point that you don't have any need to even watch the movie.
But the trailer turns me off with its opening. It sets a bad tone of trying too hard to make material that's not funny into something to be laughed at.

And if the movie doesn't feature the goddess, Kapo, and her magical flying vagina, the film will not be worth seeing for me.

A big, shirtless, tattooed dude with a hook on a chain... Are we about to see Disney's answer to Kratos? Slim chance, but by the time the dramatic climax rolls around, maybe he'll at least pull a massive sea monster's head off.

Stopped watching when I saw it was CG, which I fully expected. It's all Hollywood can do now and it got old for me a while ago.
First off I thought they were gonna do that "2D/3D" style that Paper man did for this movie:

Also I just wish Hollywood at least makes more Photo-Realistic looking CGI movies with no live action actors. I mean it was done for Beowulf and I like that movie:

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I'm curious about this since Disney has been really hitting the high marks lately, personally the weakest one lately was wreck it ralph and people loved that, I thought it was ok. So I shall keep an eye on this.

Kratos? I was thinking more..

The first thing this trailer made me think was "So this explains Roadhog's alt skin, why isn't it his base design?!"

Looks great though, visually at least. Loving the Polynesian setting, love seeing mythology I don't know much about and I love Dwayne Johnson because he's hilariously campy. And hopefully the music will be good too, I love it when Disney stuff uses music that fits with the setting. I really missed that in Frozen for instance. Now hopefully the story will be cool too.

I'm mixed. The god character seems to be in the "Dreamworks style" of "hey, aren't I cool, look at me, I'm with it!" Ugh.

On the flipside, it looks good, and Disney's been on a winning streak recently, so hey, I'm onboard.
