I can't believe how many times this game has crashed on me, requiring a hard reset. Save often, fellows. I can't believe they let this happen again, and why anyone would continue to buy games by Bethesda. Is anyone else out there having this problem (I guess it affects both consoles, not sure about PC), and if so, will you warn people against buying this game until it is resolved?

If this is a repeat topic, mods can delete.

Bethesda makes a fairly buggy but not dreadful engine, which they then give to OBSIDIAN.

What were you expecting?

They made the perfectly fine KotOR engine a buggy mess, and they used Unreal 3 for Alpha Protocol for Christ's sake; not that you'd ever know.

Meh. I save before every fight in Fallout 3 and Oblivion. New Vegas won't be an issue.

I'll be safe. Unless there are save bugs...

Now, if only I could patch Morrowind on Steam without it being a pain in the ass...THAT game has issue. Can't use the Steam overlay...can't Alt+Tab out without it crashing...

And so did everyone else who knows Obsidian's/Bethesda's track record. I've been saying this would happen ever since the game was announced. Honestly, all I can say is "know shit?"

Its an Obsidian game on a Bethesda engine, what else did you expect? A stable game? HAH!
This is why I'm waiting a few months before buying. The community will have fixed the bugs, and have a pretty sizable mod-pool for it.

I once had a bad guy run at me in fallout 3 and he clipped something and shot into the air like a bottle rocket, I like those bugs.

He's in the US.

The US gets the game before Europe.

I did kind of expect a buggy experience- which is why I rented the game. Still, it just ain't right. Don't they pay people to test this stuff? For $60, you figure they would release a game that wouldn't crash your system. To me, it just represents having no conscience as a company to charge such an ridiculous amount of money for something that isn't even stable. Spread the word, hopefully something gets done about it.

The reviews that are coming in are, for the most part, saying that the game in itself is great, but marred by a series of technical issues. I suppose we'll have to wait for patches for it to become a great game. Or, perhaps even better, an unofficial patch mod (for PC users).

My game hasn't crashed at all, and the bugs are fairly typical of a Bethesda engine game; i.e. nothing unusual.

I had some problems with an old driver set I'm using, and I updated that.

I don't know about console performance.

This is why I wasn't excited for New Vegas

3 crashed on me enough. I don't need more bullshit like this.

Been playing for a few hours, and I haven't had a single problem. Aside from as guy having a conversation whilst standing on top of a dog, but that's a typical Bethesda glitch. I haven't encountered any of the game breaking variety.
