The Brotherhood of Steel will not play a part in New Vegas (as they rightfully shouldn't.)Patrick_and_the_ricks said:Probably not, the story revolves around some sort of civil war between the New Californian Republic and Brootherhood of Steal.
Y'know, there's this awesome game called Fallout 1, where there isn't an over-used bad faction.sirdiealot88 said:Too right, it just wouldn't be Fallout without The Enclave to beat up.
They are. Thank you for being sane. ^_^Valkyrie101 said:I thought the Enclave were being left out of this one. It doesn't have to be an Enclave eyebot.
Because things change*. Leaders die and are replaced, and when they're replaced, rules change and things are run differently. Maybe the Brotherhood had a change in leader, or the NCR. Maybe both. Until we play the game we'll have no idea.Patrick_and_the_ricks said:Probably not, the story revolves around some sort of civil war between the New Californian Republic and Brootherhood of Steal. (The N.C.R. was formed at the end of Fallout 2, and the Brother Hood was allies but not part of them, why they would fight is beyond me)Omikron009 said:The Enclave are going to be there because it's a Fallout game and they're always there, and the bumper sticker is a gag.

I'm sorry, but you're way off:Nitpicker of the Wastes said:Stop right there.Calbeck said:Enclave Eyebot
It's not an Enclave Eyebot. It's an Eyebot.
If you had played Fallout or Fallout 2, you'd know that the Eyebot is a pre-war model that is NOT Enclave in origin. Places like the Los Angles Vault under the Master's control, or the sealed Sierra Army Depot have stacks of floating eyes just sitting around.
Calbeck said:It completely blew past me until my roomie pointed it out...the new F:NV trailer opens on an Enclave Eyebot sailing down the highway, with a bumper sticker which reads "My Child is an Honor Student at Roosevelt Academy".
Roosevelt Academy's part of the D.C. Wasteland, this is three years after FO3's events, and with the destruction of their main D.C.-area bases, it makes sense that the Enclave's East-Coast remnants would want to regroup with whatever part is still out West. And with Vegas being the last significant city on the continent...yet, not a scrap of info on the Enclave being in the game seems to exist, aside from that Eyebot appearance.
I consider that it MIGHT just be something cute thrown in as a gag, but you never can tell...so, thoughts?
Don't you link me to my own website.ShakesZX said:I'm sorry, but you're way off:

"Eyebots are used by the Enclave on the East Coast for broadcasting Enclave Radio, which consists of propaganda, presidential speeches, and patriotic marching music for the people of the Capital Wasteland. "
OP: I do believe that the Enclave will return in one form or another, albeit in an extremely suppressed form from previous encounters, due to East and West Coast problems in 3&2.
Wh- What about the Floating Eyes link at the top of the page? For the previous fallout games...?ShakesZX said:I'm sorry, but you're way off:Nitpicker of the Wastes said:Stop right there.Calbeck said:Enclave Eyebot

Exactly. Thank you.conflictofinterests said:Wh- What about the Floating Eyes link at the top of the page? For the previous fallout games...?
The Enclave is, for all intents and purposes, quite dead. They are entirely supplanted by the New California Republic, Caesar's Legion, and The Brotherhood of Steel in terms of both influence and military power. The last of the Enclave died after the East-Coast debacle. In fact, you could argue (and it has been argued, on the vault wiki among other places) that the Brotherhood of Steel east-coast division under Elder Lyons is more powerful than the west coast division because they have all the Enclave tech and plenty of recruits.Calbeck said:It completely blew past me until my roomie pointed it out...the new F:NV trailer opens on an Enclave Eyebot sailing down the highway, with a bumper sticker which reads "My Child is an Honor Student at Roosevelt Academy".

And if you had read the first part of the article, you would have seen the link where it states that the eyebot was similar to the Floating Eye [http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Floating_Eye]. You know, the "eyebots" from Fallout 1 & 2?ShakesZX said:I'm sorry, but you're way off:Nitpicker of the Wastes said:Stop right there.Calbeck said:Enclave Eyebot

In the events of Broken Steel, it's revealed that Liberty Prime destroyed the Enclave headquarters at Raven Rock while you were unconscious.starhaven said:the president and the encalve base are only gone if u blew them up i personaly didnti joined them
The Brotherhood is also in decline; they lost a war against NCR after destroying Redding's gold deposits, which were what backed the NCR currency.Canid117 said:but the brotherhood of steel is probably bigger and stronger now. Uh, no. Read the entire thread before posting. The Enclave will not appear.Joe Matsuda said:Like many have said before
