I think I could sell you into a communist lifestyle my friend.EcksTeaSea said:Honestly i dont have any understanding of business, but why compete when you can just create a game that everyone could enjoy on a single console? I mean whoever produced it would get the money for it and you would also have everyone buying that game not just the few who bought their console of choice.Eggo said:How is lack of competition a dream? It would ruin the entire industry for consumers.EcksTeaSea said:Or the impossible could happen and Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo work together to build one console and unite every gamer under one flag and everyone would be able to enjoy what each company has to offer. One can dream...
this is pretty much my prediction.Eldritch Warlord said:Sony: PlayStation 4, obviously. PS3 will be supported for a while after PS4 comes out. PS4 will be basically an upgraded PS3.
Microsoft: Xbox Valhalla, if they keep the code-name which is unlikely but it would make me happy. It'll likely be mostly like an Xbox 360 (upgraded of course) but with some adjustments, such as a Blu-ray drive, motion sensing controller with built in rechargeable battery packs. I expect that the dashboard will be improved as well.
Nintendo: The Wii's success leaves them without financial motivation for a new console but they may produce something to appeace their more hardcore fanbase. Honestly Nintendo is rather unpredictable, the only thing I really anticipate is innovation.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure I've mispelled somethings, it's late though.

The new PlayBoxWii!!! Best Graphics, Best Motion Sensors, Best Games... Only the price of one soul...MosDes said:I wish, but I doubt there will ever be that kind of cooperation.EcksTeaSea said:Or the impossible could happen and Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo work together to build one console and unite every gamer under one flag and everyone would be able to enjoy what each company has to offer. then theyd proll have a way of punishing thatJumplion said:I knew about the commanders, but I didn't know about 2 generals. I have no clue how the hell it's going to work, the generals I mean, I guarantee you that nobody would listen to them.Ultrajoe said:Well, thats another pair of pants ruined.Indigo_Dingo said:Considering MAG is coming out next year for this generation with 256 player multiplayer (seperated into 32 squads of 8, with 16 squads being pitted against each other by 2 generals), that won't be anything special.Ultrajoe said:And Resistance 3, with 200 player multiplayer.
I must have this game.
The PS3's innerds will probably change about 25 times like the PS2's innerds did... And Nintendo will probably do with the Wii as they are trying to do with the DS and DSi...Limos said:This generation barely started. I don't think they'll be doing a fully new console any time soon.
I could see Nintendo doing an upgraded Wii. And the PS3 making a less massive system.
More like the best of 360 and PS3 together, along with upgrades. And their original controller will rumble. And the price will be reasonable at launch.Indigo_Dingo said:...so their next console will be a Ps3?Eldritch Warlord said:Microsoft: Xbox Valhalla, if they keep the code-name which is unlikely but it would make me happy.
