If you cared, maybe others would care. And maybe if others cared, there would be good music on the radio.Assassin Xaero said:I never cared for them, or mostly everything on the radio.
agreed.darthzew said:I'm writing this post with incredible agony and pain. Billboard has just named Nickleback as "Band of the Decade".

Any faith in humanity I may have garnered in these last ten years is gone.
Well, what are your thoughts? Is Billboard onto something? Or are they really just that stupid?
EDIT: A little humor to relieve the pain:

EDIT EDIT: I read a second source and this one's a bit clearer about how they came up with this. It turns the list came from sales figures. This only hurts my faith in humanity even more.

It's not really that big of a deal, iPod's anyone?Ryuk2 said:If you cared, maybe others would care. And maybe if others cared, there would be good music on the radio.Assassin Xaero said:I never cared for them, or mostly everything on the radio.
People wake up! There are children and angry old guys listening the radio and voting for the ''good'' bands like Jonas Brothers. Wake up! We should say, 'Stop! I'm as mad as hell and i'm not going to listen to this crap again!' Maybe then they would once in a time play some good music that we like. If they play something different, maybe children will give a chance to the good bands (real metal, intelligent rap or whatever you consider good) and than 'boom' they are playing it everywhere.
WAKE UP!
It's OK dude, you guys gave us Devin Townsend so all is forgiven.Schmidtzkrieg said:As a Canadian, I would like to take this moment to apologize to the rest of the world, for subjecting all of you the the 'music' of nickelback for the last ten (or more) years. They started as a practical joke and got way out of hand and now it's too late to stop them. We're sorry, please forgive us
The fact that it has almost the exact same timing (chorus line, crescendo, etcetera) and key signature is a bit weird. They're not exactly the same, no.Lexodus said:Those don't even blend, let alone sound the same! Next time, pick a less FAIL video.ThePoodonkis said:This is all I have to say on the matter. Why? I'm fine with listening to my iPod or CD's. They make those iPod FM transmitters for a reason. During the past month I've listened to the radio for the first time in maybe 5 years, and I always heard the same three songs. I swear every time I get in a car I hear that same fucking song by Lady Gaga that makes me want to take a shotgun to my head.Ryuk2 said:If you cared, maybe others would care. Anything based on sales figures is wrong because the markets vary drastically in size. I personally believe that no "pop rock" band is likely to get a shout for band of the decade.Ryuk2 said:They are good for you, if you like them. It's personal opinion, really. But could you say that they are the band of the decade? If you do, than i'm really sorry.tomtom94 said:Nickelback, Green Day. Mob says they're good, thus they've become "cool to hate".
Me? I like both bands because they do catchy music.
There are band that sound exactly as them, there are bands who put more effort in their songs, there are bands that really mean something by their lyrics, there are so many good bands that could be a lot more popular if they had so many money as these guys.
As i said, i like SOME of their songs, but that's about it. They are nothing spectacular and just few steps better than Jonas Brothers.
There's been plenty of good bands in the last decade, just a lot of them are harder to find these days due to record companies being on life support. Also, the 00s did have to follow the 90s, which had quality bands coming out of its ears.JohnnySex said:I'm having a very hard time trying to think of a good band for this decade. Honestly, modern music just all sucks, and the few good bands are buried under piles of garbage.
