Shin Megami Tensei...

Keep the dark storylines, lore and all the good stuff in the series and I will be happy.
If the bought Bayonetta, I think they'd leave it be.
Maybe, but SMT is WAY more controversial than Bayonetta could ever be! Thankfully, SMT games are generally under the medias noses.
Although to be quite honest, an SMT on Wii U would be pretty killer. Separate screen as a COMP would have so many possibilities, and the UI wouldn't need to block the sexiness of the atmosphere.

Wouldnt care, if there are enough good games on a system and I have the money I will buy it dont care what company is behind it really I mean I dont like Microsoft but I bought an Xbox and 360 because I wanted to play some of the games on it.

The only problem with Nintendo is they seem to be quite restrictive about what types of games they allow on their platforms I have no real problem with them otherwise they make good games and sure as hell know how to look after a franchise (maybe to well).

The Wii U looks interesting I wont be buying it straight away (rarely do with new consoles) but if they manage to mix in games like Bayonetta 2 and release more quality games of their own rather than focusing on purely casual gameplay then I think they could be on to a winner. I ended up getting a Wii anyway purely for Mario Galaxy, Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story and I am glad I did as they are 3 of the best games I have played this generation probably all in my top 10 with Xenoblade at number 2.

Nintendo buying the rights to Resident Evil? Well, I wouldn't be upset, that's for sure. Nintendo consoles have been home to some decent Resident Evil games. Namely Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Revelations, oh, and the Resident Evil Gamecube remake/update, too.

Why wouldn't they? They've kept SMT 4 intact, and both Devil Survivor 1 and 2 were as dark as the average Atlus game. And another SMT game is being released for the 3DS. It's not like anything would change AT ALL.
