If it uses the current Classic Controller then yeah i can get behind this, although i think it's high time for nintendo to release a brand new IP, i know they can make a hardcore one, i just know it...

But really, Nintendo hasn't pushed the limits of graphics with their later consoles, if they are moving away from the Wii kind of console, i'm all for it. Even though it will still have to support the Wii motion control for backwards compatibility.
However, if this is the real Nintendo Revolution, and i'm going to get Mario, Zelda, Kirby etc in super epic graphics and an online system that doesn't dabble with 12 digit codes for every single game. I will definitely purchase one.

And honestly, I already said it. So what if the PSP beat out the DS? That's like saying the PS3 beat out the PS2.
I'm sorry, but the DS was released with NO competition. The only bar set for portables(not counting phones) was the Game Boy Advanced, wich they did surpass.
The NGP's graphics may be better, but who cares? That didn't stop the DS from beating down the PSP.

Hopefully we'll see more third-party titles coming out for this new console, but Nintendo borderlines xenophobic when it comes to anything other than what they make/publish. Literally the reason why I stopped using my Wii.

Making it more powerful than the PS3 or 360 isn't really that impressive, since the hardware in both consoles is pretty laughable by today's PC gaming standards. I can't imagine that it will be as powerful as some of the PC rigs out there today. Probably not even as powerful as MY rig, which was upper-mid tier as of last year when I built it.
Still, as long as it's HD, isn't focused on motion control bullshit (PLEASE don't do this again Nintendo), and has some core franchise games on launch, it should do very well. The public is ready for the next generation of hardware, and Microsoft has shown that being first out of the gate is a very big advantage over the competition.
