I don't get how the Vorlon and Shadow ships became paper thin once the war started. Remember how it took the full power of a White Star (one of the most advanced ships available to the younger races) and the help of Narn ships to even kill one Shadow vessel? Suddenly, any of the non-aligned worlds ships can take on Vorlon and Shadow vessels.
But one of the things I love about B5 is how it tries to make things semi-realistic and make sense. I personally don't see much to nitpick.

In the Pokemon world, everyone smiles too much.

That's the only, and I mean ONLY, complaint I have.
Honestly I think balance issues are a huge problem.

Anyone can get through the entire game training one Pokemon.

I can just grab a couple Pokemon to use HM's for me, then I'm set to go, with 1 revive in hand.

They need a higher difficulty curve is what I'm saying basically.

I've noticed in the Pokemon games there are no bathrooms.

If someone is tossing their cookies they always do it in a trash can, but never a toilet.

Where do they go to the bathroom? Outside?

Wait....I think I know why you get attacked by random pokemon, they're pissed that you use their home as a toilet, I'd be mad too.
What's your point? A lot of video games don't feature bathrooms.
Hey! There be toilets in skyrim.

Well, buckets.

I never said there wasn't toilets in Skyrim. Although that's uncanny, because I was going to say that, but then I decided not to bother. Are you reading my mind??

Bleach, I love you and everything you do is fantasic but please stop giving everyone a zanpakuto. It's like they are handed out by the government
Well the zanpakuto are just physical manifestations of a soul reaper's soul, so that makes sense why everyone would have one. The thing that I don't get is why can they fly in some moments, but not in others. In various fight scenes, they will be floating in midair while exchanging banter and flying across the battlefield , but sometimes they can only just jump fairly high. My prime example would be in the second movie, when this castle is starting to float REALLY high into the air. Well, one of the characters says "Oh no, it'll take forever for us to get up there. There's no way we will make it in time!" So they start to run along the path that twists around going up. Someone (can't remember who) gets to the top, but then gets knocked down a huge distance. Then out of nowhere, just flies back up. Why couldn't that just happen in the first place!?

Fear and Loathing: Some of this stuff is way too extreme to be non-fiction.

Fallout (the recent ones): In 3 there were more stimpacks laying around the ruins than there was water, but I guess scaver find water more useful than stimpacks if they're not getting shot up. Some of the NPCs come across rigid and robotic.
(sort of for both Fallout NV and 3)

why is everyone miserable and struggling? I mean I just stumbled out of a vault/out of a bed and soon I've got enough caps/food/stims/ammo to set me up....is everyone else just really incompitant or am I just THAT awesome?

I guess in NV it makes more sense for everything to be in better shape since civilisation is putting itself back together

How the FUCK does Three-dog know about my ventures not even 3 seconds after they occur? Not only that, the guy calls me an evil bastard despite my good deeds all over the Capital Wasteland. I have sticky fingers. So what?
he's your stalker

ok, if I were to give a more serious guess I reckon he probably has regular contacts and pays a small amount to wanderers/merchants to give him the intel

For me, it's the Avatar universe. In Legend of Aang, fire benders producing lightning was a pretty legendary ability. Something belonging to fire bending masters. But in Legend of Korra, any fire bending git and his mum can get a job at the electrical plants and lightning bend.
Yeah this annoyed me too. Lightning bending was a masterful over powered skill, Metal bending was a masterful over powered skill, and now they are common day skills. I hope they keep blood bending as a rarely used skill. I'd like to see Korra go nuts on Amon with blood bending. That would be nice.
The plot will probably demand she defeat Amon conventially, I mean if blood bending didn't have this massive taboo on the main characters then why didn't Katara use it on Azula during the final battle?

P.S. Wait, how did Tarlok even master blood bending? Katara doesn't exactly seem to want to start giving lessons on it and I can only assume that old lady isn't hanging around after 70-odd years?
Stupid Taboo. Katara was in the first episode. I assume she's is still kicking after whatever time Korra has spent in Republic City.

Elder Scrolls, stop having loads of shit that can wipe out existence pop up like daisy's. Can't we have an Elder Scrolls where you don't save the world (albeit change the province you are in) Seriously, what the fuck does Tamriel have to fucking worry about now?
You know what...this actually explains (to me anyway) why it seemed like NOBODY gave a fuck about the civil war in Skyrim! I've complained about this a lot but it seemed like a pretty big oversight to me...sure I joined the Imperials and killed off several high ranking Stormcloaks but why should that inspire any of them to attack me on sight?

The underaged wizard/witch Trace in Harry Potter.

Does it work based on the person's home, in which case, why does Harry not get in trouble in book 6, when Dumbledore uses magic willy-nilly to annoy the holy fuck out of the Dursleys? And why is he, Ron, and Hermione so worried about his using magic before he officially turns 17 in book 7?

Does it work based on the person him/herself? If so, why does Harry get in trouble for Dobby's (NON-WIZARD) magic when Dobby isn't even standing close to him in book 2? And why then did they say that in Wizarding homes, the parents are entrusted with ensuring their kids don't use magic during holidays?

...just a little consistency, please!

I came here meaning to talk about Pratchett but after all the posts above...

Screw it, Vimes should be incapable of remembering where he left his damn keys by now, let alone fighting like an unstoppable bad ass.
You're nitpicking the fact that Vimes is getting too old to fight in a universe where the Silver Horde is a thing?

The Silver Horde are better fighters than Vimes and they look like this.
Point taken.

Avatar world.
The elements seem to have a super powerful function that only the best of the best could master.
Fire - lightning
Earth - metal
Water - blood
Air - ???
(I haven't watched Korra yet, so I don't know if anything came out for air).

I always hoped that a super awesome airbender would be able to create a sphere completely devoid of air, and be able to place it directly around the opponents' body/head.

OT: Lord of the Rings: why did the Eagles not just fly them to Mordor?
Every time this comes up, people say 'they wanted to stay out of the war' or something similar. If they just did that, there wouldn't BE a war. It would be a pre-emptive strike.
The only thing I can think of is that without a war occupying Mordor's armies, eagles once in mordor wouldn't have made is a quarter of the way to the volcano.
Actually, I hope air masters control pressure, how cool would it be for Tenzin to be fighting revolutionaries and then just shuts off gravity? or making the air 30 times heavier?

I think that what's going on there is that....
The white stars, although tremendously advanced, are still only scout ships at best. They are minuscule compared to the ships the non-aligned worlds bring along.

No I'm talking about the water-bender woman that taught Katara Blood-Bending, there was an episode about her but I can't remember the name of it.

What would stop them though? I suspect they would have no difficulty in flying well out of range of an orc bow, and if the battle of the Black Gate was anything to go by, the Eagles were more than a match for the Nazgul's mounts.
They refuse/cannot go into mordor with sauron still inhabiting it, it's explained in the third book's epilogue.

Mass effect - I really don't like the way they reviled the identity of the shadow broker, there was a grate mystery there and then they just ruined it by solving it.

Telara...

...where to start? It's likely that no one's entirely innocent in regards to their little Blood Storm problem. And yet, both factions are going altogether too far to absolve themselves of all responsibility and blame it entirely on the other side (and possibly making things worse in the bargain).

Plus, it's quite possible that the gods themselves fucked up.

I would nit pick MLP, but uh... due to the lack of episodes I have found my self on the weird part of the Internet might get the two confused.

"why is Rarity a masochist?" is the first thing that comes to mind

That shit is fucked... So why can't I turn away?

Ok, Star Trek! Time seems to work both in the "many worlds" context and the single path which can be changed, PICK ONE MOTHER FUCKERS

- ST Generations, Picard, Why you no go back in time and kill what's his face two weeks ago instead of moments before the doomsday rocket was fired? Oh because you need to be a bad arse?

- Picard, why are you a bad arse in the films? its a betrayal of your character

- Why is everyone stupid in the films?

- Kirk, your films are good

- ... I just remembered Plinkett already did this for me

- Tuvok, why u no send Janeway to kitchen, It is the logical place for women

Mass Effect

One thing that isn't talked about often that REALLY pisses me off is the FTL theory, that by lowering the mass of an object it can go faster than the speed of light and ignore the time dilation effect. While Star Trek says the Matter/Antimatter annihilation process creates a field that allows the laws of physics to be broken, the effect of the Mass Effect field only implies the ignoring of the laws of physics. YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE SOME BULL SHIT UP, MAKE UP SOME MORE BULL SHIT SO THE EXISTING BULL SHIT MAKES SENSE!!!

Oh and how "by using a mass effect field a projectile can be accelerated to previously unattainable speeds". So? The instant it leaves the field the projectile would either shed its speed to balance the E=M1V1^2=M2V2^2 equation or create energy. All they would need to do is say that the projectile is infused with dark energy, and as it leaves the field the dark energy can no longer exist in our time/space plane, and is converted into kinetic energy.

the "Mass Effect" in its official canon version would only have applications for reducing fuel costs as less mass means less energy to get it to higher velocities, meaning transport is is more efficient, and Biotics (SPACE MAGIC).

We all know about the endings so I'll leave it at that
