Hey, there's always the little bit of irrational hope that both parties go bankrupt...

Has it seriously hit the point in the US that ANY lawsuit is now petty? It's obvious breech of contract here, and yet it's petty because one of the members of No Doubt has a great deal of money? I'm really wondering how many people understand what's going on, and how many just read 'No Doubt' and 'lawsuit', instantly forming an opinion based on that.

I hope No Doubt wins, just because there was obviously a breech of contract here, and Activision is trying to slip out of it by really odd methods. They paid No Doubt, made a contract saying they could only do x, and when they did way more than x and got sued, they claimed free speach? Absurd.

Never heared of them. Dont care who they are, but if it hurts activision then good.
not good! at least until Prototype 2... then it's ok.

besides, No Doubt sucks so making them sing Rolling Stones songs would be an improvement. I don't see why any artist would get worked up over this, can't they just laugh at themselves once in awhile? Assholes...

Well No Doubt look like idiots and I have no doubt they are, but I can't hate them because they're threatening Activision and their money pile.

Pretty much this. What someone thinks about No Doubt really has no bearing on the entire affair. Activision is trying to get away with a mistake they made. Unfortunately for them, the mistake is big enough that it could cost them a significant payout.
