No, I did not use the search bar! And I'm proud.

"SEARCHBAR!!!111ONEONEONE" is like our "FIRST!!!111ONEONEONE", we hate it, it happens everywhere, and it can't be stopped, no matter how much banning we do(on an unrelated note, anyone know how hard it is to type with a chunk missing from your middle finger?)
Hang on everyone this might be an interesting story...

I'm curious, how DID you loose the middle chunnk of your finger?

Flip off a ferret?
no, but that would have been awesome. instead, I cut it with a knife while cutting and apple to make some juice. did you know that apple juice makes things slide really easily? because it does.

I'll keep that in mind, however, one last question (Becuase i know too much off topic posting is bad) How much of your fingr did you loose, a little bit off the top? Or down to the second join?

Rarely do I use it. But I don't make a lot of threads. When I do use it...it's usually to find a thread and read it.
Only these two threads are the most popular ones I've made.

Well when I see a thread that has been discussed about 17 quadrillion times, I tend to voice it.

I find them annoying too, but by now pretty much everything (but current news) has been covered. So there is bound to be another post with the same basic topic. So i figure, if it doesn't show up within the first few pages of the form posts, then its fair game.

No. I can understand that there are no real unique threads. However if someone posts a zombie apocalypse or "I need anime recommendations" of which there is like at least 2 per week then yet, it does get irritating.
I also tend to hate relationship threads simply because the OP invariably has a distinct lack of balls which is the true cause of all their problems.
I like your brutal honesty about relationship threads. The best part is that it's true.

pretty much the first two layers on the left side of the first part and all the way down to the muscle in the middle. and there are still nerve endings on the muscle, and there was a bad breeze when I looked how bad it was after about two hours(part of it has died, which happens when there's a bad cut, and it isn't infected). air hurts like hell when you don't have skin.

It's annoying when they do it without contributing. The least they could do is add to the topic and go "By the way next time you should search or something" just because people who just scream "SEARCH BAR" like retarded pokemon are just one step above people who pop into a topic to do nothing but spout memes.
Yeah agreed with this one right here.

I really hate the SB Nazis. If you're not contributing to the conversation, then why even make a comment on the thread? Everyone knows that someone leaving a comment saying "Search bar" isn't going to change anything, so why do it? Just out of spite of those who hate Searchbar Nazis?

Get over yourselves. If they aren't using the searchbar, leaving an asinine comment like "I've seen this thread before. Use the searchbar." won't change a thing.

If I see a thread that has been repeated I generally just DON'T READ IT.
If it bothers people so much that repeat threads happen they always have a choice to not read them.
But going into it and posting "Search bar" in every repeat thread accomplishes nothing.
I do get annoyed seeing a ton of Zombie Apocalypse or ME2 or MW2 threads every 5 mins, but who really cares, I never post in them anyway.

Besides, I would much rather see a repeat thread than posting in a thread that has 17 pages and have mine end up on the end and risk repeating something that someone else commented. I can't be bothered to read 17 pages of forum posts when it is easier to just make a new thread.

No, because you should always use the search bar

I don't care if its not fancy or if they don't add to the topic. As long as the words are said in a respectable way, then its fair. If some just posts "use the search bar" there's nothing wrong with that, and the OP should learn from his mistake and move on. Repeat threads are really annoying.

Depends on the situation.
If theres one odd thrad about the same topic, a month or more old, an dyou'll get accused of necro'ing (which is funnily not popular either) for posting in tha ttrhead instead then it's stupid.

If it's cause someone for the 10'th time of a given week posts a trhead about zombie apocalypse or other eternal repeat threads, the "where would you go"/"what weaponwould you use" ones, not original ones like "whos living corpse would you fuck if you got teh chance at Z day". then fire away.

Or if it's a thread on some recent stuff like teh release of a game, where theres often several threads on page one at teh same time, like MW2 vs BFBC2, or GoW rip-offs or prototype/infamous threads before that. Then fire away as well.

But that's impossible! Nobody ever does that, it's just too simple. How dare you upset the order of things? It's insanity! It must be . . . no, it couldn't be . . . Common Sense.

Sarcasm aside, I usually avoid threads I've seen before. When I do venture in, I report anyone who posts simply to say "Use the Search Bar". I also report people who make repetitive threads, so it's a healthy cycle.

However, spouting "Search Bar" over a thread that hasn't been seen for well over a month is a bit self-defeating. We know that some people make just as much fuss over "Necro!" as they do about search bar neglect.

There are occasions when it's justified. For example, when a new game comes out, and suddenly, a hundred threads all discussing the exact same subject pop up.

There's definitely a statute of limitations on that kind of thing, though. Given the huge amount of growth the forum's seen in the past few months, I'd say a "search bar" comment is really only fair to make if said thread is a duplicate of another thread that was made inside of the past week.

I fucking despise it when people put "Search Bar Approved!" in their thread. So you used the search bar before posting, nice job, everyone should do this. PLEASE refrain from letting everyone know you performed the most basic of tasks.

These are the kinds of people who are still telling their parents when they take a piss and hope to get a response along the lines of "WOW! You're becoming quite the big boy now! Good job! Have a gold star champ!".
