Suicide.

I can't wrap my head around people who cannot find any scrap of a reason to continue living and the only solution they feel they can turn to is taking their own life.

A wise man once said: "A suicide isn't painless, if you leave everyone in pain."

As an offshoot of suicide, I'll say that self-harming is definitely another thing that I cannot grasp. I genuinely find it hard to take pity on people who hurt themselves as a way of dealing with their problems. There's enough people trying to hurt us in this world without successfully doing it ourselves....

Oh, that's a good one. I'm making that mine too.

im the opposite. i don't understand the concept of sympathy. i've never really felt much of anything for people except my sister and father. admittedly, i don't steal, murder, or rape, but that's more because of my desire to stay out of prison, not because i would feel bad about them. i choose not to do certain things because i know i would, pardon the childish expression, get in trouble. i also don't like blood or have any frequent violent urges.
i can't imagine having to live my life thinking "ok, how is this going to make me feel?" before i do anything.

i also don't understand dubstep and body piercings.

I cannot understand how people can't be open-minded. You hear about "religious" wars about inconsequential crap: 4e vs Pathfinder, Mac vs PC, Battlefield vs Call of Duty. What is the point?! These are games for fucks sake!

Rudeness/meanness. I just don't get the point in making someone else angry/sad/upset.
I can understand some catharsis. I can understand that it is nice to tell someone to shove it every once in a while. What I will never understand is how people can be rude to people who handle food. I work in the service industry and everyday we get at least 5 people who are rude/condescending. How do people how the gall to do that?

People who dislike someone just based on their job. For perfect example, Police officers. So many people just hate them. I would like to be able to say that it's mostly people who got arrested and resent getting caught, but I don't know. There are bad apples, as with ANY job, but everyone seems to hate them until they need them.

Yeah, I'm going to have to join the religion bandwagon.
Sorry if it offends any of the people who think one should be sensitive and let people believe what they want without being criticized, but the claims made in most religions are about as logical as cows living on the moon.

Like many others, I understand the need for comfort. I just can't understand how someone can bring themselves to believe a claim with no factual grounding.

Why people are religious. Despite the fact that for the majority of my life I was Catholic.

Also American Politics...are things really that bad over there?

I really can't think of anything.

Someone recommend stuff to me and see if it befuddles me.

Stupid people, how can they be so bloody stupid?

So many people saying they can't understand religious people. Here is a slightly logical answer:
If [insert deity here] does exist: you will go to heaven or be reborn as a cow or something.
If it doesn't exist: doesn't matter now that you're dead, does it?
"Jesus is the one true savior."
What if it is Allah, or Moses, or Apollo, or that Mormon guy, or Xenu, or someone else?
"Its not so it doesn't matter."

If it was that they just wanted to not suffer in hell, they'd worship them all to be safe. Since they only choose whichever they were taught as a kid, that argument works not.

That is what I don't get. They claim their mythology is correct and don't understand how other can disagree, "How can you NOT believe in Jesus?" they say.

My pet cause is infant circumcision. I just can't and don't want to be open-minded about people who mutilate children, no matter what insane excuse they give. Anyone who does it is a monster and should be put to death: swiftly for the good of all, as one kills a rabid dog.

No you can't have it!!! It's mine!

Get your own narrow-minded view! = P
Ok, fine. :p

I don't understand why anyone would want gages (those stupid earrings that expand your ear). Why on earth would you want to do that to your ear.

There are plenty of things I don't understand. But nearly everything I don't understand about other people can be conquered by this:

Read it, and suddenly humanity makes sense.

...you try to be, there's always that one thing you can't wrap your head around.

For me, it's people who aren't moved by music, people who are fine with listening to the radio or club music because it's easy to dance to or it's simple, people who don't go looking for music that inspires them or brings out all manner of emotion/feeling to the surface (be it joy, excitement, anger, passion etc). These are the things I can't accept/understand, no matter how wide I open my mind.

So what's your one thing that you can't grasp?
Yeah, I gotta admit, you pretty much trumped me right there. I just can't comprehend how some people feel nothing in music.

OT: I've gotta say though, what I honestly cannot comprehend is religion. I can't understand how people can be so invested in something like religion. Something to intangible and obviously false (to me).

Transexuals.
I don't understand why it's a mental disorder to feel like your arm isn't part of you but to feel like your body is of the wrong gender is a-okay.

The internet in general. I understand the GIFT, but I just don't get people who take any chance to be a total twat. Post any comment in any forum about literally anything and there'll be someone willing to call you an idiot.

Ever read the comments at FML? I swear, you could post something like "Today I was hit by a bus which left me paralyzed. I was only in the road shoving an orphan out of the way of the bus. One of the paramedics taking me to the hospital sexually molested me and then I was told that my grandmother was beaten to death over the course of several hours with an iron bar" and there are still people who'll tell you that you deserved it!

I can't get my head around why the internet, or any form of anonymity, turns some people into such raging cunts.

Since religion and crime has already been discussed, I will mention something else that I am unable to understand. Reckless drinking until you just become annoying to anyone around you, not to mention unable to walk and speak properly, or think.

What people view as "fun" is obviously very objective. I myself enjoy a few strong beers every now and then, but I mix it with food and some water after a few.
