Just because of that I will put watching that show on my to do list. Thank you sir, that made my day.Aris Khandr said:I am so reminded of this scene.Hal10k said:Fie to all of the negative posters! Sleep is a completely optional part of life! Not only have I not slept in two months, I'm completely alert! In fact, I'm even more alert than everyone I know! I've started to see colors that they don't even know to exist!
But yeah, staying up that long is really not advisable.
Yes it is, depending of what type of friend you have because unless you become a total Insomniac (which did happen but it so rare you'll have more chance of being attack by a shark during a fighting tournament on a Jumbo jet), you will fail. Once you fail and if they are like me, you would wake up with drawing made from almost unwashable Chinese ink.Griffstar said:A simple enough question, is staying awake for 1 week straight dangerous? No I won't be driving or doing anything that I shouldn't be, also I'm not doing drugs.
its not possible. you can stay awake for at most 4 days without chemical help.Griffstar said:A simple enough question, is staying awake for 1 week straight dangerous? I made a bet with a couple of my friends about it.

That is true, I Barely slept at all literally last night and I can barely walk or even think straight.ApeShapeDeity said:There have been a number of studies on this (I'll let you find 'em yourself). In short, yes. It's dangerous. After about 24 hrs of no sleep you're comparably affected to drinking roughly 10 standard drinks (off the top of my head). It doesn't improve.
This should answer your question pretty well.Griffstar said:A simple enough question, is staying awake for 1 week straight dangerous?.
I think it's that by 3 days without sleep you are already dead. Could be wrong though.Judgement101 said:I think it is after like 3 days you have a chance of dying from sleep deprevation.Griffstar said:A simple enough question, is staying awake for 1 week straight dangerous? Jesus fucking Christ, that is TERRIBLE!Kakashi on crack said:btw I keep seeing longest without sleep who survived, but does anyone remember FFI (fatal familial insomnia), specifically Michael Corke?
I'd post the documentary but youtube has seemed to have removed all traces of it, and I can't find it anywhere...

Yes, in fact it is dangerous in both the long and short term. Don't do it!Griffstar said:A simple enough question, is staying awake for 1 week straight dangerous? I made a bet with a couple of my friends about it.
