I have to say the Liverpool accent really gets on my nerves. It's just so whiny and makes my ears sad.

Have any of yall been to South Carolina, Charleston area? Came across a Geechie? Oh man...one of my friends is geechie (if you don't know who they are, that's what the internet is for) and shit! I can't understand a goddamn word that comes out of his mouth 85% of the time. There are a lot at my school. I'm pretty cool with all of them that I come across but still, they got their own crazy ass language along with their own crazy ass accent all talking fast...lol

Although it is pretty funny to listen to them talk.
Think of a really heavy Jamaican with some west indies mixed in there with their own language.
The more I hear them talk though, the better I understand though.

I find most accents pleasant, but Leonardo Dicaprios accent in Blood Diamond...

Jesus, it's like he's imitating a high duck try and speak English with a Cajun accent, but the duck had been shot in the throat.

Ah yes, truly a classic in cinema history. It will be remembered forever.

I don't really hate any accents. What's s wrong with Sean Devlin's accent in The Saboteur? It's hilarious and picks up my spirits after a long and crappy day.

In game or real life?

When it comes to games I thought the Assassin's Creed II situation was mildly ridiculous. Since I grew up in Italy and used to be fluid in Italian, the accents the characters put on wasn't very convincing. But it didn't get really bad until they had spoken dialog in actual Italian where they sported an American accent -.- Still, points for trying, I always enjoy it when games make an effort with the language.

In real life... I heard a few really fun ones when I played WoW. The Danish accent is pretty awful, Dutch isn't too fancy either. Met a few Germans, I was somewhat disappointed that their accent was nothing like the Bond villains' :(

The most cringe worthy of all though is my native Swedish :S

My vote goes to the hilariously awful Italian accents in Assassin's Creed 2. They could at least have hired some actual Italians.

I don't hate bad accents, I find them hilarious.

My absolute favourite example is Steve McLaren's bizarre "Dutch" accent.

I don't know what the fuck he thought he was doing, maybe he got it into his head that he was actually speaking Dutch, or maybe he just subconsciously started mimicking the Dutch person interviewing him, but whatever the reason, it's hilarious.

I think it's even funnier that Peter Seller's Swedish accent.

Hearing the british version of many words annoys me like mad. (Yes, I realize the reverse is likely too)
Garage for one. Also Aluminum, which over there is Alumin-i-um. That extra syllable irks me.
Your comment is made even more irksome by the fact that 'Aluminum' is actually the incorrect spelling of the metal and aluminium was originally named by a British man. :p But really? I see your point.

The Stoke-On-Trent accent really annoys me with their versions of 'book' and 'cook'.

Cockney Londoners really annoy me too.

In short, what is the worst accent you have ever heard? Whether it was actually a native accent or a fake one, whose accent has ticked you off the most in the media?

I hate the lead characters from The Saboteur and Just Cause. They both seem painfully fake and irritate the hell out of me.

Opinions?
Its'a me, MariO!

Obviously from Assassins creed. Actually it wasn't so bad, just thought it was worth an honorable mention. (Though I did dislike the accents in that game)

Well, the reason I never go on rampages of claiming the brits saying it wrong is because any American version is the alternate version. I am aware of this. As for Aluminum being the wrong one, it is still correct to the science community. I looked it up after raging at the british Billy Mays wanna-be after he said it (which is how I learned of the difference).
