So at around 9am my next door neighbour's Dad left the house to go to work or shopping or something. In the mean time his son was left alone in the house left with the task of cleaning up. This means he had the freedom to play his music and TV as loud as possible while he does his cleaning. Now, i was out last night drinking. So imagine my discomfort of waking up to the loudest Just Dance ever while dehydrated & confused.
Ive had a word with him and he turned it all down, but i dont want this to continue. I like this area, its freindly and quiet. I havnt had anyone live next door for over a year since its last occupant died (Bless him) so im used to waking up to dead silence [PUN NOT INTENDED]. You think i should take more action to silence him if it continues?
Also, has anyone else had noisey neighbour experience?

edit: I would like to point out, the neighbour ont he otherside of the noisey kid complained before me, but he didnt turn it down. He only turned it down for me because im more intimadating that a 86 year old man.

The kids next door tease my dogs, so they bark. Then my other neighbours complain that my dogs are barking. Fucking morons

Yeah, but I just get on with my life. No one likes a party pooper, and unless you've got a newborn baby or something I'd just deal if it's not a problem that happens too often.

Also I'm an insomniac, so what do I know? Haven't had a good night's sleep all year.

Now there's a mean pun.

Anyway, maybe you're just being a little oversensitive? He turned the music down once you asked after all, so he wasn't being unreasonable.

Set your dogs on the kids, they were teasing them:p

I think as long as the music is turned down then it shouldn't happen again.

Oh shit i just realised what ive done :')

That is true, but he has also had the people on the other side of him complain about the noise. He also plays his music loud during the day, which i dont mind so much because im busy gaming so i cant hear him as much.

My next door neighbor in Dubai is a drunk. He had this HUGE party that lasted until 2:30 in the morning, then he came up to us at like 3 in the morning, wasted off of his ass, and he wanted a hug. So I just threatened to call the police, and went back sobbing saying "YOU DON'T LOVE ME!"

The next week he had ANOTHER party and it was even louder. So just gathered some paper, plastic, paint chips, put it together, lit it on fire, rang the doorbell, ran back home, and saw him coming out the front door yelling, "OH JESUS FUCK SHIT MARY!"

That was priceless...

I think you're over reacting a little bit, surely just buy earplugs?

I mean, I listen to music really loudly when I do a cleaning sweep of the house, because if you don't it's ridiculously boring.

Well the fact he turned it down shows that he is considerate, I doubt he would do it again.
if he does, tell his father.

Hooray for living next to old people. =P

If anything, I am the noisy neighbour as I play my drum kit rather often and then have friends over every now and then for band practice.

I never realised how loud my drums actually were until yesterday when our next door neighbour was playing a drum kit (I have no clue who was playing it, it's just two parents and two young daughters there) with someone playing guitar and I could hear it pretty well from the other side of my house.

I am the noisy neighbour. I have to have my games/music turned up really loud. The people around here haven't complained yet though so i think i'm in the clear with it.

You try living in compact Uni halls with music students. For some reason they have to have a wide variety of music on at 4am on the loudest setting possible.
