Another day another North Korean " We need aid for our shitty hell-hole" button press. They've pressed the button so many times I'm surprised it still works. Happen's every time, they need aid so they do missle/nuke tests, UN negotiates with them, North Korea agrees, wait about 2-5 weeks, North Korea needs aid again, and the whole process start again. They managed to piss of China, they're only ally.

So, what do we do with them? Attack, sancitions, negotiate, nuke, or other?

Barrack Obama will threaten a nuclear strike if they continue with their tests, but would never launch.
I reckon he might get America and China to invade at different fronts if they continue after that and create and new cold war.

Yawn.

North Korea tests a weapon.

The world shakes its collective fingers at North Korea.

North Korea shrugs and waits until it wants more attention and does it again.

Repeat process until someone gets blown the fuck up.

They would never bomb any World Power, they can't risk a war with the UK, the USA, Russia, China (They annoyed China, didn't they? Does this mean they would stop being Allies?), the list goes on!

North Korea seems to be like a little kid who always, ALWAYS, does the same damn thing to gain attention. Eventually it will be ignored.

North Korea.....they did another test a few months ago (correct me if im wrong) and it pissed off the world then aswell

people dont think NK has the might to invade a country...it has a considerable armed force
Then again nobody thought the japs could beat the Americans but they did (not to the point of obliteration but they got pushed back) it took two nukes to make them (the japs) call quits

Its not scary though as they are not long range

And one more point
North Korea test a few small short range nukes and the Yanks get annoyed and yet the yanks are the only one to have ever used nukes against civilians of another country. America condemns them for a few tests and they have 26000 of them.....

For my above post i am not suggesting that i love north korea only that its basically stupid that the media report on this stuff

its not right to expect certain countries to not have certain weapons.

if a country has them, all countries have the right to research and develop them.

Just let China invade N. Korea - think about it...

The Chinese don't feel threatened by a US/UN task force establishing a foothold on their border...

The Western powers no longer have to worry about an East Asian nuclear war (Sadly, Pakistan and India are still a possiblity)...

Japan doesn't have an rogue nuclear power on there border...

S. Korea doesn't have to have the problems of West German after the wall fell...

The N. Korean people get a new government thats more open and freer (a measure of how repressive N.K is that China is more open and free).

Indeed. America DOES get all controlling when someone else gets WMDs. Germany, Iraq, North Korea, etc.

Well, take a look at a night time photo of the area:
(with an outlay of the country outlines)

South Korea - Bright lights and clear signs of strong economic development.

China - A few lights; some clear signs of development.

North Korea - Blackness. Few or no lights at all.

N. Korea is like Stalinist Russia, with the people completely cowed to follow the leadership.

Why'd you mention the germans?
Because after WWI/II they were banned from holding WMDs by the American government.

Because they also have had their economy and infrastructure shattered after a war, just like North Korea.

Thats not right, thats very wrong. We should prevent the spread of nuclear/bio weapons and get rid of the exsisting ones, countries should not act like three year olds: "But he has WMD's I want some too!"
I know these weapons are going to continue to exsist, but i don't have to support it.

Not really much we (anyone not N.K) can do but sanction them. They aren't exactly a huge threat and they are just doing this to prove they have the big boys toys so they have something to barter with when they need more of food/clothes/water/power/army parades.
