All of those are valid points. The Great JT said:How do I put this...oh yes.Jabberwock xeno said:But at least captain planet was both entertaining and educational. Please, I don't want this to turn into an epic nostalgia fight...
No it wasn't. It was force-feeding us pro-environmental bullcrap that just made us want to go out and throw as much tarsh on the ground as possible. The villains were immensely stupid (how they got such big-name (at the time) VA's is beyond me), the protaginists were immensely stupid, the superhero was a bad pun-spewing headache machine with probably the most pansy-ass weakness ever (seriously, I know people laugh at Green Lantern's weakness to the color yellow, but POLLUTION? REALLY?) and the only reason anyone I know watched it was because there was nothing else on in that time slot.
Barely before my time, I think I was a baby when it aired. Not sure though.Grey_Focks said:was never a big anime fan, though I did like Digimon when I was a kid. You listed just about everything I was going to suggest, Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Megas XLR, Samurai Jack, Batman, but you did miss Gargoyles, which is a pretty serious offense in my book.

Such a good show. Seriously, fuck you Ted Turner, for cancelling this in its prime and shoveling more Captain Planet down our throats. Go to hell and take your cheap suit with you.Arkvoodle said:
