Not the best games nor the worst games , but average games in the middle.

Sora's personality is pretty flat, even his cheerful demeanor seems to fall flat at times. It all seems forced and corny. I'm not even sure if its genuine anymore. Of course, this is just my interpretation.

To each their own, I guess. I personally disagree with you, but then I'm a fanboy of the series and can't see beyond what doesn't make the game great, etc etc.

Seriously though, I wouldn't call the series average. Perhaps Chain of Memories borders the line. But otherwise no. Fanboy, and all.

I'm glad that we could discuss this without resorting to petty namecalling.

Uncharted 1 & 2 are the most average games I've ever played. Average story, average characters, average gameplay. Above average production values, but that's all it really does well. It's pretty much the video game equivalent of Avatar.

Assassin's Creed 1 comes to mind; bearing in mind Assassin's Creed 2 is in my top 3. Brotherhood also does, but that's more to Bias from loving AC2 and it trying to ruin my love with it's being worse in every aspect than the game itself being average. Ratchet & Clank: A crack in time comes to mind too, but see Brotherhood, but magnified. FF13 I'd put here. I mean, put aside Hope and the linear corridor and the angst and the cutscenes and the auto attack and Hope again because he likes to remind you how much you hate him, put aside all of that. As an Otaku, I loved the aesthetic, graphics and music. I saw the future with the art style. And the gameplay wasn't bad, I actually liked it. All of this in my opinion cancels down to average.

Been said already but borderlands, I felt it had a great set up, but desert level after desert level get so stalled so fast the weapons was so so,the inventory screen pretty bad(what made me quit) and the enemies wasn't much variety in.._.

Brink to me was average, but the good kind of average. Same as Mirrors Edge or Army of Two The 40th Day.

I'd say Bully, Rock Band, Prey, and in my own opinion Portal falls into that category of mediocre games.
