This, this, fucking this. It is inflammatory hyperbole of the worst kind, is disgustingly popular and makes me almost physically sick. Even on The Escapist so many people are willing to casually repeat terms such as "grammar nazi" with no comprehension whatsoever of what that would actually mean (I tend to visualise those of poor grammer being forced to wear special badges).paddyshay said:Any time someone equates the person they're arguing with, or their argument itself with that of the Nazi party on an internet forum.
That's the thing, until recently, I haven't held a job that payed enough for me to afford regular upgrades.molesgallus said:You need to start building your own pc's. For instance, 2 years ago I DREAMED of one that could run F.E.A.R., HL2, DOOM 3, and the like. They were THE games to have.
Well, now I have that compy. And it can't run Mass Effect, Command and Conquer 4, etc.

While, ok, it's used very often, and often in an unjustified manner, it's only because it's a widely accepted evil, meaning noone will really question your comparison's evil..ness. It's oppressive and controlling and discriminating...paddyshay said:Any time someone equates the person they're arguing with, or their argument itself with that of the Nazi party on an internet forum.

Thats not what I meant. I mean the saving you incur building our own, mean you can buy more future prrof gear. I haven't touched my pc in 3 years. Well, I replaced the motherboard when it started smoking. It's just that video-games have not caught up with the hardware that was available 3 years ago, never mind surpassed it. Upgrades are a thing of the past for most people.Skorpyo said:That's the thing, until recently, I haven't held a job that payed enough for me to afford regular upgrades.molesgallus said:You need to start building your own pc's. Looking forward to a new build soon, though. I MUST play Mass Effect and FarCry 2, and also prepare for Deus Ex 3.
