the train level in uncharted 2 and any level after that because all you do is climb and shoot and climb and clib and climb...so much tedium.

Infamous. When you get to the second island and are forced to go into another sewer system. That was the point at which I turned off the game and regretted getting the PS3 for the first time.

Playing Prince of Persia Sands Of Time......What? More specific? Fine....Hitting a spawn point with a sliver of health, and before finding the magical cure-all water fountain I have to fight through three giant guys with halberds. That's when I stopped playing..actually it was after I finally beat those guys and had to fight birds.

When a troll is persistent....its how Maxthereaper got banned :(
At least Max was likable and interesting. Then again, I'm one of the elect who always got along at least somewhat well with him.

On topic, the areas of the men's movement I observe, whenever someone cites or praises anything by Daniel Amneus. Seriously, someone who's arguments can be debunked by a basic understanding of zoology and statistics is not some sort of genius. Oh, and general misogyny, but that's too broad and obvious (let's just say the Soviet Union collapsed because of its hamfisted government and bad economics, not because women fought).

Try searching around Gamestop's and second hand stores. Gamestop alone got me Tales of the Abyss for $25 and Devil SUmmoner 2's Limited Edition for $20. Internet prices are ridiculously jacked up.

I had that feeling when I saw Xenogears for $200. Now I have a store holding it for me until I can pick it up for $25. :D
You must have the most epic Gamestops in all the land. We have this one Gamestop that's staffed by NON-douchebags, but... Fucking hell, they never have the out-dated rare games I want. Like, ever. And besides that, usually we end up on a road trip, only to obtain a scratched and beaten disc that works, but makes terrifying noises.

Speaking of Xenogears, I still haven't gotten through it. My god, I fucking hate PSX discs. Our copy of Xenogears literally broke a PSX. Allow me to sum up my feelings as best I can. Ahem.

Only replace KHAAAAAN with SONYYYYY.
Just sift through their racks and you'll find something. You have to be diligent in your searches. Only then will you find awesome deals like Disgaea 2 for $20 and Shadow of the Colossus for $9.
You can also do things like ask the employees to check and see if any other gamestop stores in the area have what you're looking for, and if they do, ask them to call and put it on hold for you.

Anytime the argument shifts to religion. I swear, I've seen every aspect of this and haven't seen anything new in a long time. It's just boring to see same old stuff rolled out over and over and no one seems to learn anything.

Whenever a game boasts moral choice systems.

Because the current system for moral choices SUCKS BOLLOCKS.

I did quite like some of the ambiguous choices in Fallout 3 though (example: Shoot em in the head quest. Kill the ghoul bigots, or don't. Endgame, infect with modified FEV virus, killing all super mutants but also all Ghouls, or don't [considering that their numbers are now limited thanks to them running out of the "green stuff"] and let the Brotherhood do their part for the Super Mutant threat and leave the Ghouls unharmed)

Also, back when WW2 shooters were today's space modern warfare shooters.

And whenever we're assigned homework that is completely unrelated to whatever we're doing, and when people break out the tired, stupid, downright silly and wrong "age argument".

So, my birthday is coming up in less than a month, so I'm considering "SUBTLY" hinting that I want Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Kuzunoha Raidou Vs. The Soulless Army.

You know, I think it's a really cool concept, maybe this SMT game will be hard without being turn based, and maybe hard without being too bullshi--

Oh god dammit, not this shit again! I already dished out eighty bucks for Tales of the Abyss, dammit!.. Why are the games I want always so stupidly rare?

Anyways, fellow Escapists, the topic of discussion is:
Have you ever had any moments that make you say, "Oh, not this shit again!"
You did notice that the game is also available for only $33 in that post, right?

When people think terrible films are amazing.
I would say this, but...

I read someone somewhere saying that "people can't distinguish between things they like and things that are good". I also remember that statement filling me with rage. It might have been because it was in reference to something I really liked, or it could have been because of the incredible arrogance of that statement.

I have really, really shitty luck when it comes to used games.

We literally have games that just plain do not run or crash during cutscenes.

Haha, just found this in Gaming and had to share: http://kotaku.com/5624390/supreme-court-hears-violent-video-game-case-nov-2 Honestly, trying to stop M games being sold to minors... doesn't bother me too much. What's annoying me is it keeps getting shot down, and Arnie just keeps trying.

Not game-related, but:

Every time the power-tripping jackass at work assigns us pointless, tedious busy-work at the end of the work week, like scrubbing the long-crusted-over dirt off of propane tanks.

Look, asshole! We just finished eighty hours of beating the shit out of rocks with hand tools, we haven't showered in a week, and we're desperate for food that doesn't taste like propane and cast iron! The van is spotless, the tools have been put away, and the first-aid has been inventoried! Shut the hell up and get the fuck out of our way!
