Given that the population of the planet just hit 7 billion, and we can't sustain that many people, I can't help but wonder why this isn't considered a good thing. Maybe we should distribute games, anime, and manga to everyone and perhaps we could drop the entire planet population by 20% by 2050.

Most/All first world countries have acceptable birth rates. Most third world countries, on the other hand, have a TFR of 7-13 or something crazy like that.

So, lowering birth rates in first world countries won't accomplish much of anything.

I'm not sure where I would fit into this whole mess. It's gotten to the point in my life that whenever I toy with the idea of dating I just look around my room and laugh cause there are utterly no women in my area that have any intrests in what I like.

Honestly, I use to try but by now my self-confidence is gone and I doubt I can get it back so I just sit around in my spare time and read.

OT: Considering how crowded it is there wouldn't a little bit of a decrease be a good thing? It's not like the population is being destroyed by a war or a sickness, just people aren't breeding is all. I'll admit I could be wrong so please don't tear my head off if I am.

In my experience, the absence of a relationship was due to chicks going for the douche bags, not from my lack of trying. After a while you start feeling indifferent. Unfortunately I'm in that age range where woman are, for lack of a better term, "growing up".

I live in a town filled with gweedos (However the hell you spell that). I swear it's like Jersey Shore her sometimes.

I love how they automatically attribute the inability to get a girlfriend to being a shut in caused by interests in video games/anime etc. Because that's all the stuff does right? There couldn't possibly be any other reason for someone to be a "shut in".

You think you got it bad? Japans women are like that till the day they die. They can only date the hot looking guy, as if the guy looks in the least bit unattractive, its a huge social taboo there.
