Sup I said:
Um, I don't want to dissapoint you, but Medal of Honor isn't, that..."great"
After having the beta, I think you should just rent it for the Single Player, because that's not being done by Dice 'shivers' urg... God I hate Dice...
A beta is a beta. It's unfinished. Also, maybe you just hate DICE's style. I happen to love the Battlefield games and most anything made by them.

And Treyarch made Call of Duty: United Offensive. But if you haven't, don't go back and play it now because it was good for the online which sadly died a while back... but anyway, that was the best Call of Duty, even if it was an expansion, and my second favorite game of all time. But when I heard that Black Ops was going to have zombies, I just stopped caring because it's the only way to sell it to the kind of people who like the new Modern Warfare games...

I am willing to forgive them many things because I have heard that they are taking away machine pistols and shotguns as secondaries and giving full replay capture. The story mode could be good now that they won't be knocking of WW2 movies for the plot and scenes (I mean for pete's sake the start of WaW was a clear rip from "Enemy at the Gates") or the story could be trash but hopefully the multiplay won't be as broken as MW2 and from what I've heard it will be better. So in short yes treyarch have bollocksed games up before but it looks like they are making a concerted effort to not make this one shitty so cross your fingers and hope.

I was always under the impression that everyone felt Treyarch managed to redeem themselves with World at War.

Well, I guess not everyone.
It wasn't a BAD game, but it did have quite a few glitches and somewhat of a lack of balance. While the game wasn't quite as good as COD4 in my eyes, it was still a good game. At least when I wasn't getting spawn-trapped by an MP40 user. Or dogs.

Treyarch isn't necessarily bad, but IW just outdoes them. Without IW I can't see CoD continuing to be as successful as it is.

when everyone was super fans of MW2 i was saying that i like WaW, but now that all my friends don't like MW2 anymore they are saying that WaW is good. I never understood why everyone disliked WaW.

I actually liked CoD 3 and WaW. I don't understand why nobody seemed to like them.

Meh. CoD is dead to me. If they make something so shiningly perfect it's impossible to ignore, I'll try it, but if they keep going down the road they are heading I won't bother.

Agree. Well, they don't ALWAYS deliver IMO. I enjoyed the older BF games, I don't like the direction the newer went, with smaller maps, less players and not being able to crouch OO. But it seems like they are taking back old territory with BF3, so I'm excited about it =).
You can't crouch in the newer games?, thats madness, what do you do when the all important opportunity of tea bagging arises?.

I've never liked Treyarch myself, or IW for that matter, I can stand IW because the response from the guns has a tactile feel to it that Treyarch just barely got right with CODWaW.
Oh, sorry. You can't prone, you can crouch still, luckily =p. But why can't you lie down? Is it that hard? Has human evolution come so far that lying down is rendered obsolete?

Yes, but it is a final representative of the finale peice. I'm not even talking about the bugs. It's just... wierd. The customisation so far is REALLY REALLY shallow, and there has been no "official" confirmation of the being more. Also, Frostbite engine is good for 2 things, big maps, and big destruction, neither of which are in. Also, the movement, lack of prone, bad hit detection are also some of its traits.

I completely agree - they have a track record of making "ok" games. So expect nothing more - just because IW is gone, doesn't mean Treyarch will get better.

You can crouch, but you cant go prone, is what he meant.

However they're also much more slow-paced, and team oriented than COD. If he wanted that, he should just play TF2.

The only "good" thing about Cod Waw was Nazi Zombies, and I found that to be pretty terrible as well, actually... By the 30th round all you're doing is crouching and holding down the trigger. Literally. Just holding it down. I don't know how it caught on to be so popular. And all that wasted money on map-packs.

But I liked Big Red One, and 3 wasn't nearly as bad as WaW. It was decent.

But no, I don't think Black Ops is going to be good. Pick up Limited Edition Medal of Honor, it comes with a Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Beta. Medal of Honor will last you until that comes out, and looks to be truly a superb game by its own rights. It was made by Dice, after all, and BC2 was fantastic.
Not just battlefield 3 beta but a bearded man a very cool bearded man

I always feel like Treyarch is constantly trying to prove it's value to Activision by being desperate to beat IW. Also, they never produce their own engines. Only modify the IW engine, which is a bit of a cop out imho.

WE ADDED ZOMBIES!!! SEE WE HAS ORIGINALITY!

World at War was pretty good. It stumbled as games like always seem to do in the story department, but I felt that the splitscreen co op and of course the Nazi Zombie mode made it superior to Modern Warfare 2. The first Modern Warfare was all around better than both of them, but i thought that it had far less lasting appeal other than locking yourself in your room for hours on end and yelling at the screen over grenade spam. I mean i will take out world at war relatively often if i have some friends over.

And i think that the competitive multiplayer has been getting worse and worse each recent game in the series.
