I pretty much never save unless turning off the game or just before a hard boss (and i mean really freaking hard) this is usually because i don't really have any patience and the saving screen takes too long and breaks the immersion in the game for me. This is the reason that I am too afraid to try getting brass-balls on Bioshock even though i have beaten it wrench + Pistol only on survivor difficulty the idea of having to save so much kinda scares me.

If anything, I don't save often enough. I only save after or before particularly difficult challenges. It has cost me much time, after which I am liable to rage quit.

I save multiple times over the same slot, and in multiple slots. I also do this when working on a program, I would make a change and then click the save button like 6 times worrying that it didn't save proplerly (or simply forgetting that I had already saved). My friend calls me a "Chronic Saver" but to him it isn't necessarily a bad thing, he just thinks it's kind of silly.
