1. The Walking Dead - This should surprise no one who know me. XD
2. Sleeping Dogs - A game that was pure arcadey fun for me.
3. ME3 - A great game to end a great trilogy. Ending was a little iffy but still a great game.

Honourable mentions go out to Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2 and Trails Evolution as well.

wow...I've played nothing that came out this year.......
Yeah, It's been a bit of an off year.
Yeah, nothing really tickled my fancy this year, I seem to have been playing NGC and PS2 classics or 2011 releases I never got around too. Which is awesome things like Rayman or Persona 4 have been tonnes of fun!

Dragon's Dogma.
Kingdoms of Amalur.
Darkness 2.

Those are the 3 games of 2012 that i've enjoyed the most and clocked the most hours in.
I finished The Darkness 2 in under 6 hours. It's amazing, but doesn't have much replayability.
How do you clock that many hours into it?

-Crusader Kings 2

In no particular order:

Far Cry 3
Mass Effect 3
Borderlands 2

And the honorable mention goes to Sleeping Dogs.

1) The Walking Dead

I mean, sweet Jebus, was that an experience. Loved it so much.

2) Spec Ops: The Line.

Oh god, i did not expect the game to go that-a-way. It was so very dark, but i liked it, since it did something very interesting.

3) A tie between Osu! and Harvey's New Eyes. Osu! wasn`t really released this year, but i found it this year, and I´ve been quite addicted to it. Fun stuff. And Harvey`s New Eyes, i liked a lot, as well. It was dark, but funny and charming.

So, yeah. That`s 2 point and click games on my top 3 list. Interesting, since i haven`t played any point and click games for quite the while before those two, i think. But it was a good year, lots of great games that unfortunately i can`t put on my list. But that doesn`t mean they weren`t great.

I really enjoyed it and I can't actually put my finger on why.

I played it through quite a few times, playing through it again at the moment to be fair, and it hasn't got old yet.

Strange really considering i'm not usually a big fan of shooters.

1)XCOM: Enemy Unknown

2)Mass Effect 3

3)Guild Wars 2

Honorable mentions going to Far Cry 3, Halo 4, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Planetside 2, Starhawk and Torchlight 2.
EDIT- aaaand I forgot both DOTA 2 and Spec Ops: The Line. Both worthy of mention, but the top 3 goes unchanged. Though ME3 and GW2 are pretty interchangeable for their order.

Yea, really good year, overall. And there are quite a few games like Walking Dead and Dishonored that I haven't played yet that I fully expect to atleast be worth mentioning. Also, just got Guardians of Middle Earth, and haven't quite played it enough to judge, yet, but that's probably worthy of mention, too.

1. Mass effect 3
2.Skyrim/Oblivion (going to pretend that those can be counted as one game)
3.the saboteur.

I know most of these didn't come ou this year, but they were still pretty good.

I've barely played any new games this year (spent my money grabbing older titles like Dragon Age: Origins and Fallout 3 and clearing out my back log), but that said my top 3 are probably:

1) Primordia; just came out but I absolutely love it. I haven't played an adventure game this good since The Longest Journey

2) Dead or Alive 5; I was stunned at just how good they made this one. Graphically much better with a much smarter AI and a well-implemented learning curve and story mode. Still got ridiculously harder at higher difficulty levels, though.

3) Angry Birds Space; I was thrilled with the new gravity mechanics and have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of the game.

Honorable Mentions: SOL: Exodus, Black Mesa, and probably Street Fighter X Mega Man when it comes out.
