If nudity or sex scenes in a game further the plot or create a deeper immersion i'm all for it, simple really. I would have no issues seeing a dude naked in a game, doesn't bother me in the slightest.

No, not really. I'm not bothered by it. That said, good luck getting it actually out there. The media practically explodes every time nudity is suggested in video games. And they say gamers are immature?

Nudity doesn't phase me. Gratuitous nudity is annoying because I find it insulting, so my normal reaction is to laugh at the idiocy of the nudity. On the flip side, I also get annoyed by abnormal clothing - like PG-13 sex scenes were both the man and woman (and it's always heterosexual; it seems like gay/lesbian sex scenes bump the movies/games up to Restricted or Mature) are almost fully clothed while going at it like bunnies. Having lived in a house with 6 other university students, as well as having spent time in dorms at university, I'm quite confident in saying that this sort of sex is abnormal; usually the mad dash to cover up their indiscretions includes finding the bits of clothing that were discarded along the way to whatever surface provided enough friction to contain two sweating bodies, and never are all the bits of clothing found immediately. (one lonely sock which sticks into my memory ended up containing some sort of herb as it lay in a potted plant for several months.) So this "I have all my clothes - including undergarments! - still on my body in easy to pull up or pull across locations!" sort of sex is as annoying and amusing to me as gratuitous boobies.

Male nudity, as a concept, doesn't bother me in the least. But then I do happen to be an odd duck (or as Mrs. Makt has been know to put it, "F'k'n weird.") so I do realize that I'm in a rather small minority. However I view it in exactly the same manner as female nudity; when it makes sense, do it. When it doesn't make sense, don't do it.

I've never had a problem with nudity in games. It doesn't phase me whatsoever when a woman gets her tits out. I'll admit, I was slightly taken aback when that dudes dick was flapping back and forth in that one scene in GTA4 Lost and Damned, but that was because I simply A: wasn't expecting it and B: was a first as far as I know of.

But on the other hand, I do get rather annoyed when I see nudity in games added simply because tits. I don't consider Duke Nukem Forever in that category, simply because the only time nudity should be used is when it fits the game/scene/atmosphere. DN has always been a tasteless game series, and the game NOT having tits in it would actually have been rather surprising and out of place. Another good example where it worked effectively was Dante's Inferno. Even though it was extremely weird to be attacked by vagina tentacles which did nothing but remind me of a few episodes of Bible Black, it was all fitting in with what the developers were going for.

I actually can't think of a game where nudity hasn't been suited for it, but I actually can't remember many games with nudity in them. DNF, GTA4, Dante's Inferno, Max Payne 3....so, four games. I'm certain there must be much more than that, but they're the only ones which come to mind, and they were all about atmosphere/authenticity to the scene more than wanting to get some controversy going.

Penis/Vagina
Anus - Wow, Jesus, did they really show that?

But there's a pretty serious jump from vagina to anus.

Ahem . Yeah i like my fair share of boobies , but most games ( like most films ) stop at tits and ass . Rarely do we see some penis or vagina. So there is more female nudity than male , because of that .

Now as for male nudity ... No thank you . If someones cock came out in a video game , i'd look away ... And i won't lie , i like seeing naked women , so i like female nudity . I'm a pervert like that .

Now we all know men like boobies . But let's say some guy pulls out his penis in a game , would women even like that? I believe they wouldn't .

But you HAVE a penis (presumably), so why be grossed out by one?

Especially if, like in Amnesia, it makes sense in context and would be far more (edit) UNrealistic to NOT have a penis. If you're playing a mature game or watching a mature movie, realism should be a big factor, right?

OT: I don't really mind. And seeing how much popularity nude mods have, I think others don't mind either.

Hehe to be honest after playing rugby for 6 years of my life showering after a game with aload of other naked blokes doesn't bother me xD so full frontal male nudity in games doesn't phase me at all.

Kinda weird after having a punch up with a man not 30 minutes ago standing next to him showering and laughing about it. Rugby is an odd game indeed.

What? You don't have home and away change rooms? Or you have punch ups with your teammates? I have never heard the like. We forbid that kind of "fraternization" where I'm from. We shower with our team mates, and only our team mates.

As for nudity in games, I don't mind it in context, for shock value, or for humour. What I don't like is pandering and fan service. Somehow I am more upset by the depiction of women in Mass Effect 2 than I am about The Witcher.

Gotta be tasteful. I would rather not have seen Dante's hairy ass, but it didn't taint the entire game like Dr. Manhattan's glowing dick did in the Watchmen movie. (Seriously, it got more screen time than the Comedian, I think!)

Male nudity would bother me. Im talking full nudity, penis and all....actually just mostly the penis. If it was a naked guy with the naughty bits covered up like in Saints Row 3, it would not bother me as much. Ditto for a guy in little clothing, at least in small doses. I dont think i could handle an entire game like that.

At least in games. TV and movies is entirely different, I will recoil at the sight of a naked man, even if it just the ass. Also why I hate men's locker rooms as there is always one guy, usually an elderly man, who walks around butt naked all the time.

That said, i find both types of nudity distracting in video games, i do not know why.

From what I have seen though your stereotypical gamer however is. They tend to act more like a 12 year old kid raging on about how "gay" anybody who plays said game or movie is.

They did it in gta 4 and that game still sold really well.

I'm totally fine with dicks tits and clits in my video games. As with all things its all context sensitive, I do get a little tired of it when publishers and developers use it as a selling point. Tells them what they think of me. "Here's your entertainment you dumb fuck, full of tits and ass just like you like it." But I dont see anything wrong with a little titillation and certainly there are lots of serious and meaningful stories that can only be told by addressing sexuality head on.

Though I will say this, I have not seen a single sex scene in a video game that hasn't come off as stilted, stiff and awkward. (I'm looking at you Mass Effect.)

And that is the brunt of it. It not only the industry side of videogames that need to mature when it comes to things like nudity, its the gamer side as well. Me, as a male gamer, Im not gonna be to bothered by having nude males in a game personally, as long as, just like with nude female models in games, its handled well and not simply there to be there.

There was a mod for the first mount and blade that had a surprising amount of nudity. A lot of it was female sure, but I was kind of shocked the first time I was attacked by a band of 20 barbarians all running with their cocks flapping in the breeze. Felt really bad for shooting one right in the crotch. Overall though it didn't really bother me one way or another.

I might get thrown for a few seconds if there was any male or female genitalia, but even then I doubt I would be bothered by it.

I personally don't find a need to get that intimate with any fictional character, but I suppose it could eventually be done well.

Otherwise? Brush off female nudity (I'm a guy, so it doesn't really offend me, though I'm not a fan of developers trying to pander to me. If I wanted porn, I'd go look up porn). male nudity irks me a little bit, since I happen to be a bit homophobic.(childhood trauma... yay )

A good example of this would be Bayonetta. The whole nudity deal made no sense to me, but it didn't really bother me since it was a female character (I never actually played more than the demo), but if it was a male character in her place It would DEFINITELY put me off of the game.
