Okay, in regards to all of the mentions of "Hey I'm in there/I don't like my part/Hey, I'm not in there," this was a demo that was written from start to finish, including equipment and effects, from 23:35 until 04:43, so most of the typos and errors and short dialogs were the end result of me being tired, and just working to get the major "quest" done. This is essentially a mini-game, and is a very hasty one. Everything about the full RPG will be bigger, grander, and more well-done. That said, that style of humor is the way my entire RPG is going to be done, including the giant enemy troll. Where you hit its weak point for massive damage [http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=T3e6Wy19jbo].
Ultimately, the game will be much harder, much cleaner, and less inside-joke related, (although there will be many many references). Although, I'm fairly hopeful that this cleared up a lot of questions you had, and got you at least partially excited in the project.
I asked about the massive damage thing, I didn't know what it was, I thought it was a glitch.
I'm not good with memes.
But just so you know I did like the demo, I kept trying to find a way to level up though XD
Considering I didn't affect the level curve, it is very possible to level up on the demo. With the number of enemies that
should, it isn't. Although, it can be done. "How?" You ask? Ah, that's the beauty of being the creator.
Technically, if you can manage to leave the map, every individual troll you killed (The groups don't count), will respawn and act just like they did the first time around. It is technically possible, but you'd have to get into some Scooby-Doo hijinks to technically find a way around it. Maybe if I had been less lazy with my debug tool, it would be possible, but alas, I was too lazy. Sorry Opp/Hyp. I can fix it, but it would take a re-upload. Who knows, maybe I'll build up (up to an hour's gameplay) this demo if I get enough requests. It'll be our Escapist-Centric RPG.

I tried it, and woah, did it have many cameos. But NewClassic, I should point out, that when the trolls attack (oh no!), I mean, when they start a flame war, and deal you damage, your HP doesn't drop. A fix must be in order.
EDIT: It looks like it does drop, but it doesn't. It sometime deals damage, and sometimes it just sleeps through it.
Amnestic actually figured out why this is. The "Gone Gonzo" Accessory is flame-resistent, so it doesn't deal a lot of damage out of the gate. Considering they're trolls, and our protagonist is a mod, obviously it has ill-effect. The Giant Enemy Troll, if it ever uses its flame-war attack (If you don't knock it over, it's a very epic fight), you'll be hurting. It's not a glitch. I need to impliment a script that shows, numerically, how much you heal per turn.

I am so downloading this demo when I get home.
EDIT:
Terribly amusing work old bean, I enjoy all the cameo's and am curious to seen how some people will respond.
Also, which program is this? Definately more polished than 2k and looks more maleable than XP. Can you possibly message me a link for the program or tell me where you acquired it?
This one is RPG Maker VX, which is a few strides cleaner the XP, but still a bit limiting in the "Default Stuff" department. Easily fixed with the scripting language, but I haven't bothered to really sink my feet into it yet. When I do, the games will be a lot smoother. With a custom battle system, no less!

Give us some basic story/scenario hints if you want some advice, or is this the intended starting point?
Darnit,
Pedro, always have to post when I'm in the middle of a post, don't you?
The demo is, again, a stand-alone project that will remain independent from the main story. The main idea itself is a play on the "save the world" trope, as I'm going to be running around, insulting every bad stereotype that exists for the "plot." Aside from that, it's going to be a pretty simple "out of the box" fantasy-setting, with an emphasis on breaking the fourth wall and anachronisms. It will all be very sarcastic, hopefully witty, and entertaining.
A lot of the ideas I've read here are written down with some changes and add-ons, for mini-games, subplots, or quests. So, the ideas are being put to you, or at the very least, considered. Some stuff is unrealistic, mostly due to time constraints, but since I'm going to be spending so long on this title, it's a good chance that if you're on my friendlist or have been a strong poster on this thread, then you're going to be making a cameo somewhere in the game.
Basic story is a little complex, considering I'm making the player more versatile, you're going to be picking a gender, and one of three subsets. The subsets are as follows:
Kinetimancer, or manipulator of kinetic energy. This mage has spent his life with big, heavy, metal weapons, and knows exactly how to wield them in very strong fashions. Keen observers will rebuke me, saying that that's just a description for a warrior, but those observers don't count, as Kinetimancers are clearly arcane masters of kinetic energy.
Eatheriamancers, or manipulators of ethereal energies. Once again, keen observers will be quick to explain that these are more normal mancers, as they are essentially just a "mage class." Once again, it is highly encouraged you ignore these people, because, simply put, we don't like their attitudes.
Psychomancers are the last group, and they have the ability to manipulate your mind. They will play in your psychology, misguide you, and by the time their work is done, you will be short one wallet and very far away with all of your stuff. Once again, the astute observers will make claims that "Hey, that's just a thief class!" And while their enthusiasms is duly noted, it should also be ignored. Simply because, we cannot prove that these "keen observers" are in-fact, not Pyschomancers themselves, and thusly should not allow ourselves to be manipulated. Do you want to keep your wallet?
