I just saw his speech on MSNBC, and he only mentioned God once! ONCE! In the "God bless you and god bless america!" he said when he finished talking.

I'm so happy I could cry. A non-God-crazy speech from an American president! :')

Yay for higher taxes on my company and family. yay for someone who wants to use the power of government to spread the wealth around, yay for anti gun prez, yay for someone who thinks the bill of rights is a bill of negative rights. yay for someone who is pro govn't regulation of the free market, yay for someone who wants to use courts to.... O I give up for the night needless to say I look forward to hearing my business professors lament this tomorrow.
Woah woah hang on? Those are the reasons you didn't vote for him?

I've lived in Singapore and it was less of a culture shock than reading that.
I guess just because we speak the same language doesn't mean that we're anything alike.

Well, really guys? I was expecting at least 10 more threads like this to pop up. :D

All I can say is that it's fine, since he's not Clinton. I gets to keep my copy of Left 4 Dead.

We my fellow humans are living through real history. This day of November 4th 2008 will be remember for centuries in the history books as a day that American society changed for the better in so many ways in is almost beyond comprehension. We are living in a truly amazing time. This will be studies by children in books in class rooms around the world. The first non-White man has been elected President. We have changed, we have changed forever!

I think it's official, no one cares about multiple topics at this point.

WHOO!!! President Barack Obama. It's great. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the next four years pan out. Also thought McCain accepted defeat rather graciously although his crowd did not lol. Well here's to this being the right call. :)

I will remember Nov 5th and thus FUCK UP HISTORY! ... if I ever become the, uh, Queen of Sheba or something.

It is a historical event, for sure.

What is sweet is a Democratic majority in the Senate, in the House, and Presidency. That is the BOMB.

There are drunk bitches outside my dorm screaming "Obama" over and over. Its getting kind of annoying.
Dude, you are clearly not taking advantage of a very wonderful thing. You need to be out there showing some support and going home with a frisky liberal (you know, they put out).

I just like to remind people that Obama voted to allow phone companies amnesty for spying on us. He coted for military spending and to renew the Patriot Act. (All of which he promised not to.) He is also going to escalate in Afghanistan. Biden was one of the champions of that bullshit bankruptcy bills a few years back.

Obama may have won but the real problems are going to start when we hold him accountable to his promises.

Well, luckily, tonight was a clear sign that narrowminded single-issue voters like gun boy here were outnumbered by folks who realize that Obama isn't going to do a DAMNED thing about gun-control since he's got like 10 HUGE problems to deal with first.

:)

I did not vote for Obama or McCain, so I went with a third party, but this marks the first time in the last decade or so that the American public has actually attempted to regain their decency. Americuuhhhh, fuck yeah!
