I am overweight. I am not yet obese. But I am overweight. I have an excuse however! I am asthmatic. Its not a severe case, just...its triggered by exercise.
I'm fine if I don't get up and run around. If I do, I'm soon on my hands and knees wheezing.
I also have had a migraine since...last February. It gets worse when I do stuff.

So yeah...I feel awful. I'm overweight and I cannot work it off via exercise. Short of refusing to eat anything whatsoever (which isn't healthy for you) I....can't really lose weight easily.

As for other people being obese. It irritates me on how they use the scooters instead of walking. (But there may be medical reasons, so I keep quiet.)
But really, it is not us to judge. We can help them, Support them. But its not our place to sit on a high horse and look down at them. Think of the last time that happened to you. Did you like that? Nope. Did it motivate you to do what they were saying you had to do? Nope.

*sigh*

I was one of those people. It took some very specific circumstances for me to turn that around - 65 pounds later, I was a lot like you.

Anyway - I speculate that the encouragement we receive to "bother," is so distant and questionable in its existence that it cannot compare to the simple comfort of leisure and the delicious complacency of eating.
