Probably Fleet Command: AI War. However, I'm not sire that counts since I only just bought it in Steam.

All Hail the Steam Christmas Sale!

My brother had Kao the Kangaroo for the Gameboy, but probably the most obscure game I own now is Solar 2.

Risen and maybe KUF: circle of doom

risen isn't bad, circle of doom is a sin against life
Risen has a sequel coming in April. It's gonna be a pirate RPG. That fact alone makes it a day one purchase for me.

OT: I actually have some to add from when I was a kid. A couple of games came with our first computer.

The first was Hyperman
It was a really easy point and click adventure meant to be somewhat educational. I remember enjoying it when I was a kid.

The other I didn't enjoy so much: Cyberia.

It had almost no music, the most horrifying character models ever, and I never really knew what was going on.

The gameplay consisted of mainly two parts:

And...

Oh, I have my fair share. P.N.03, Bujingai: The Forsaken City, Operation Darkness, Rogue Trooper, and more! I love finding and collecting them. A good third of my collection I would wager most here have not heard of.

Ok Escapist what is the most obscure game good bad or other wise you have ever owned.

I'll start with Voodoo Vince for the original Xbox
let's see...

ob·scure/əbˈskyo͝or/
Adjective:
Not discovered or known about; uncertain.
Verb:
Keep from being seen; conceal.
Synonyms:
adjective. dim - dark - indistinct - vague - murky - abstruse
verb. darken - dim - hide - conceal - cloud - overshadow

so, i'll take it as the most WTF game:

gary's mod: have you seen the ****ed up stuff people have done with this?!
sims 2: just, it's the sims, do you need an explanation?
amnesia the dark descent: it never scared me, although the water beast do give me an adrenaline rush, but that was excitement. but other people? good god! have you seen the reactions? funny stuff.

Definitely Cyberia. I was so young when I played it that the game wasn't very well designed. It was very interesting to play, the story wasn't half bad, and very cool to watch way back in '94. The CGI in the game was half the appeal honestly and it was built more like an interactive movie. A remake on the concept wouldn't be half bad, but I have a feeling it would end up feeling a lot like system shock or something.

999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors on the DS. Think of the Saw movies and Myst having a baby, only for the crappy parts of both of those to be removed... in favor of a "true" ending that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

A Horror game for the PS2 by the name Extermination. I doubt many know of this thing. It is not very good but ehh.
Actually, I have that one, and I DO like it. I got into the atmosphere, which is one of its appeals since the dialogue is NOT. The creatures living in water, growing on everything, devouring the people and the base itself is entirely creepy... I thought of it as a pretty good 'weird shit' game.

Anyway...Shadow Madness. Graphics: Kind of like Final Fantasy 7. Story: Pretty good! System: This is the only game I know where you can dodge RANDOM ENCOUNTERS. Gameplay: FUN! Find it, play it.

Blood Will Tell. A game I'm surprised never made it big, but which I found to be quite enjoyable. Samurai-era, fighting demons, swords for arms, cannon for a leg. What's not to like?

Construction Zone for the original Game Boy. Or perhaps SimAnt; that one always surprises people with its existence.

Space Channel 5: Part 2 and Bayonetta.

I really enjoy Japanese games and anime. But these two are even for me a bit... yeah obscure. My friends call me insane for playing them instead of [insert any Western RPG/Shooter], but I think they are just pure fun to play.
