HOLY SHIT! The ps2 wins the console war!

Despite owning a 360, I think this is probably the most true. My biggest complaint is with the controllers but when you see the diverse line-up of games that seems a little petty.

It was pretty good, I loved the Sisters of Battle, but there was just something about it that felt unfinished. Like when you would capture a relic, instead of the shaft on the floor opening, it stayed shut, so the flag would just be rising through solid material, looking really buggy. And all the icons for the Dark Eldar looked like someone had just made a mod. But overall it was an ok expansion.

If you like tau, have you ever tried fire warrior? Quite a good 40k fps, really brings across the feel of the tau and do a not bad job of the space marines.

I believe I did try that a good while back. Never really go into it though, it belonged to a friend.

Just making a thread to say something I have noticed about fanboys these days. Alright, so many PS3 fanboys are always saying things like, 360 controller sucks, RROD is so stupid, Halo 3 SUCKS compared to Killzone 2, and so on, and then 360 fanboys always complain that PSN sucks, the PS3 has no good games, we all know these arguments. The thing I find interesting (and funny) is that I've never heard any of these bad things from people I know IRL who own these consoles. It makes me wonder, PS3 fanboys must have a terrible time with the 360s RROD, and these 360 fanboys must have it awful dealing with the fact that the PS3 has no good games.... Wait what?

Who else has noticed this?

Note: I think both consoles are fun, though I own neither. I don't agree with pretty much any of the fanboy biased points in my thread.

Before i start my statement I want to clarify something, I used to own a 360 for 2 years and now I own a PS3 (had it for about 5 months) so i know each sides strengths and weakneses. If it was a scale being 1 a total Xbox fanboy and 10 being a total PS3 fanboy (while 5 being neutral) then I'm probably a 7.

Now with that out of the way i can start. PSN Online doesn't suck, it just doesn't have as much support as Xbox Live. The PS3 has plenty of good games, while many may not be exclusives they still have some, like inFamous, MGS4 (I don't like it but many others do), and Gran Turismo. The PS3 is practicaly an entire entertainmet system, it can play music, movies, go on the internet, and can play Blu-Ray. The PS3 does seem to have slightly better graphics the the 360 but it's only noticable on games that support 1080p.

Now the 360 is good but in my opinion not as good. The console has great online support and has patches that come out about every month. It's online interface is more easily accesible then the PS3's. Plus everyone online has a microphone while the PS3 doesn't have as many. The sad thing is, the 360 has terrable customer support and this comes into play when the gremlins inside get mad and give you the RROD. I had a 360 Elite and I got the RROD twice, so I call customer support to get it fixed for free since it's their problem. But sorry, i've been a loyal customer for over a year so I have to pay $150 to get the damned thing fixed and then I would lose all my memory including all the downloads I paid for which was about $120 worth, that got me pissed. So I sold the thing and all the games and bought a PS3.

Overal I think the PS3 is better but the 360 is right up there with it.

And just to get this out of the way, BOTH HALO 3 AND KILLZONE 2 SUCK, GET USED TO IT!

EDIT: The 360 controller and the PS3 controller are both eaqualy as good. The 360 controllers are a little bit heavier and take slightly longer to connect but that doesn't matter. Personaly (growing up with the PS1 and 2) I like the PS3 controller, many years of experience with it i guess.

Tunnel Rats: 1968 disagrees. That game pretty much drags the PC down to sub-Jaguar levels.

NEVER MENTION THAT HORRID PIECE OF TRASH EVER AGAIN. UWE BOLL WILL BURN IN HELL FOR A THOUSAND ETERNITIES FOR THAT ABOMINATION. Besides, Spore on a PC more than makes up for it. I have to keep tissues next to the computer when I start it up. (Heheheh...dangly parts!)

I have to say that the PS2 is still King of the Hill. The 360 has the most games out (I believe, I may be wrong) in the current-gen and 1) the quality of the games is generally lower and 2) there are still fewer of them. I'd still rather play Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition and Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness on my PS2 than shell out five hundred bucks for a glorified DVD player. If I get a next-gen system, it'll be an Xbox (It has Fallout, Oblivion, Assassin's Creed, Left 4 Dead...), but for now, I'm satisfied with my PS2.

Hello, the 360 controller is absolutely shit at action games or at fighting games. Or racers, for that matter - I haven't tried it with anything else.

I'll give you that, but it's comfortable as hell

The Console war is dead ,were all happy now we all have fun games we all have a great time on our system the only thing that keeps this dead war going is the fanboys who need a superior console and can't accept that in this generation all the console are winners.

Not really. The thumbsticks are alternate instead of parralel - I prefer my Dualshock 3. I can keep it on 3 fingers of both hands, if I need another finger, I can easily keep it on the last two fingers of both hands.

I am SO sick and tired of this war. Why won't people just admit that BOTH consoles have their ups and downs? I am. I admit they do. Why have one half of the fun when you can have the whole thing? And if you can't afford both systems, then just stick with what you have and enjoy it. If you say something bad about the other console it's not going to prove anything and nothings going to happen. And if you're offended by the opposite fan group, who cares? Nothing happens. Just because they say something doesn't make it true.

If you're unhappy with what you've got, then get the other console or something else, instead of pushing other gaming options away and making yourself miserable.

My final tip to EVERYONE: Stop this war, it's NEVER going to end if you continue like this and you're just going to waste your time, which you could have been spending playing your console.

I have a PS3 and sold an Xbox 360 to buy it, but seriously, I'd say the PS3 controller sucks, the 360's is much, much more comfortable.

Wow. How about everyone. I'm pretty sure that's how many other people have 'noticed' the console wars.

People call me a 360 fanboy because I have the audacity to prefer the 360. I didn't spend $400 on a Wii at launch and $700 on a PS3 last year to be told I'm biased. I've given all three a shot and prefer the 360. That's not a crime.
