Looks nice. I'm kinda surprised that nintendo doesn't expect to sell much though.

So does this mark the death of new-release GBA-compatible devices? (Since there is no GBA-Player on the Wii and the DSi has no GBA-Slot)

I personally don't see the point in these. They're marginally thinner than DSs and Lites, they get rid of the GBA slot, which is a ***** for Pokémon gamers and ... other games which are skanky and require previous versions to unlock things. Wait, that's just Pokémon. Skanky buggers. Anywho. They have TWO CAMERAS. What the hell's wrong with just one camera?

Will someone please explain to me why having two cameras used simultaneously is going to improve gaming performance?

Damn, I wish that I could afford this but I don't have the money. It looks kewl too. I guess I'll just have to stick to my regular DS and GBA.

Is it just me that really can't see any improvement about this over the DS-Lite?
I love my DS-Lite too much to even be bothered with a second re-launch of the Nintendo DS.

Less battery hours, I would have gladly sacrificed one camera for the GBA slot etc.

I think I'm going to give this one some time and see what the clear benefits are, but I might just get one anyway because I'm getting a bit tired of the DS Phat I'm using.

Plus at least this time Black is a launch color, haven't had that since the GCN.

The DSi has a wii shop style element to it, so perhaps we may be able to download GBA games some day?

Another way to get people to waste money because it has new features! CAMERAS. Are those really needed?

I don't think I will get it, I'm happy with my DS Lite. With no GBA slot its a real deal breaker. Plus just to let you know the new DS will be region locked, and I have imported a lot of games from Japan to play on my DS, so I wouldn't even be able to play them.

release date of "spring 2009" in uk...
think i'll be importing then
Not a good idea. DSi's are region-locked, so unless you wanna import all of your games from now on, you'll have to wait it out.

gonna suck, cameras worse than phone
I agree that a phone would have been nice. Actually, as it has internet, a microphone, and speakers, you could probsbly use it as an internet phone.
