The writer of Portal agrees with you. He was sick of cake jokes within a few weeks. He has said there will be zero reference to that dead horse in Portal 2.beema said:My biggest fear about Portal 2 is that the goddamn stupid obnoxious cake jokes will start up again and we will all have to endure another two years of every idiot in the game industry saying "Omg teh cake is teh LIEZ LOLFLCOPTRR."
Please never mention the cake again.

Is it cheaper if you pre-order it?imnotparanoid said:$60?luckycharms8282 said:Hmmm...as far as portal 2 goes, I would love to play it. I dont think it's worth the sixty dollar price tag, tho. GRgh, I may just watch a playthrough on youtube and save some money.
WOW you yanks are unlucky, £32 here in the UK
And those pictures, however good they are are going to give me nighmarers for months.
Or ya know, just buy the orange box, 5 games for the price of one and they're all awesome.shado_temple said:That's why you preorder it on Steam for $45.luckycharms8282 said:Hmmm...as far as portal 2 goes, I would love to play it. sometimes I hate my country....mrverbal said:Indeed no! Australia dollars are worth fractionally MORE than US dollars (about 1.04 USD currently). It's just that australian retails are GIGANTIC DOUCHEBAGS who think australian consumers are too fucking stupid to realise that a price which was reasonable when 1AUD=.8USD is not reasonable now.imnotparanoid said:Please tell me that AUS $ are worth less than US $?Piotr621 said:Retailers in Australia have it for $110 AUS on consoles and $80 AUS on PC. Which is why I went 'screw you' and pre purchased for $45 on Steam. Fortuneately Valve don't pull the bullshit that games are priced differently based on region.imnotparanoid said:$60?luckycharms8282 said:Hmmm...as far as portal 2 goes, I would love to play it. Oh, and they like to whine like little bitches about how unfair it is that online stores are forcing them out of business and that they cannot compete.
And so, most sane people - especially when buying a game from valve - buy it via steam, or off amazon UK or US or similar. The later two especially when buying a game from the douchenozzles who try to sell games on steam at massively inflated prices, now that steam doesn't let you just claim to be in a different country.
I'm calling that it will be potato related.beema said:AwesomeTriforceformer said:The writer of Portal agrees with you. He was sick of cake jokes within a few weeks. He has said there will be zero reference to that dead horse in Portal 2.
Very glad to hear it.
Although I'm sure there will be some other iconic joke that legions of nerds will completely ruin
I agree, that short of thing drives me crazy when I'm trying to read something. Glad to know I'm not the only who feels this way about it.CosmicCommander said:I hate it when comics adopt that "Hey let's be artsy by drawing everywhere and make it look like the artists had seizures while doing their work" thing.

Then I'm afraid you entirely missed the point of Portal.Shirokurou said:From Portal I was expecting a lot more cute and clean artwork...
But looks like the artist had other plans.
I say the artwork sucks. IMHO, cuz it's art.
Depends on the console. It's $5 (USD) less for preordering no matter which version, but the computer version is only $50 USD, as opposed to the $60 for the consoles. Preordering that brings it down to $45, and there is a 2-pack which brings the price to $80 for two copies (So down to $40).Catchy Slogan said:Is it cheaper if you pre-order it?imnotparanoid said:$60?luckycharms8282 said:Hmmm...as far as portal 2 goes, I would love to play it.
