A few games have done that to me, the first being Timesplitters: Future Perfect. Playing two-player vs. bots on the hardest difficulty in a first to 1000 kill match was horribly addictive. Kept us up until 5 in the morning.
More recently, CoD:MW2 has frequently kept me awake until 3 in the morning. So has inFamous and Bioshock (which shouldn't really be played at night alone) as well. Though I think this because its the only time I can play the more violent games - younger brother and all that...

That once happened when my cousin and I spent the whole night playing Pokémon Blue/Red and Gold/Silver. We didn't notice it was morning until our grandmother came into the room and said good morning at 6 AM (I think).

Happens a lot when I'm playing online, mostly on MW2 or with friends on RSV2.

But, with my truly awful laptop, the only game I can say I have played into he wee hours would be Warcraft 3, which I only got a few dys ago. That explains why I've only been awake an hour now. :D

Pokemon.

Pokemon Pokemon Pokemon Pokemon.

Gold nearly ruined my childhood!

Also, World of Warcraft kept me up until 1 PM. But you all saw that one coming anyway.
I had a dream last night that I found my old Gameboy Colour, and it had Pokemon Gold in it. I was so fucking excited! Then I woke up... :(

Edit: I should've realised it was a dream, because I had Silver, not Gold.

The day I got BioShock had one of these moments. It was about 22:00, figured I could play an hour or so before bedtime. Next time I checked my watch I thought it was about 23:00. It was actually 2:30. I lolled.

Strangely, WoW never kept me up that long. I stayed up until about 1:00 to get to level 70, but that was at a birthday so no-one went to bed early anyway.

Oh yeah and of course playing Pokemon sneakingly under my bedcover when I was like 11. Good times, tired times, but good times.

I have this more often with books though. Those wretched things can really suck me in.

Most recent was yesterday, playing TF2 on server that never quits, is a curse. Kept saying: "Just one more round then I go to bed", when I finally did go to bed and turned off the lights, it was light outside. So I checked my clock and it was 7 in the morning>.<

Never happened, but it once happened to my parents. Actually, it wasn't a video game, it was Majhong for four people (we live in Hong Kong).

Most games to be honest. I've taken to setting an alarm for around 2am to remind me to switch off and sleep. I do get insomnia sometimes though, and gaming's something to do on those long nights.

When Mass Effect 2 came out, when I completed I had played 32 hours. I had only had the game in my possession for 54 hours.

This has happened to me a bunch of times, but only with a few games.
The games that grabbed me by the nuts, pulled me in and didn't let go until the morning are:

GTA San Andreas, Sly 3, Fallout 3, and Final Fantasy XIII

I remember getting pokemon yellow and an attachable overtorch contraption thingy for my gameboy colour (before backlit gameboys existed for all you young people out there) when yellow was released, I was up till like 3.30, I was only about 10 haha.

I've done a couple of all nighters with some guys on here on TF2, although those usually start when people come back in from a night out at 3ish. I think we played 3-9am once, that was fun.

I don't remember the last time, as it happened quite a few times, but I remember my 1st time. I was playing Heroes of Might and Magic (4 or 3 I can't remember), it was 2 am and I thought ( the oh so cliched) "just this one more turn and I'm off to bed". I never looked at clock this time and my room was completely darkened (and on west side of the house) so when I was over I had to go to bathroom. So I opened the door to the east-facing corridor and whoosh sun rays blinding me which totally freaked me out. But it has happened many a time since then, I'm fine with it now. :p
