Oh crap...birds chirping?! How long have I been playing?!

I don't do this so often, and i would have said that i don't play till the early hours of the morning (earlier than 2 doesn't count, i do that consistently when surfing teh nets), if it wasn't for "Hubilub" who reminded me of Pokemon Gold. Late nights (4-5 am) lying in bed with my GBC, frantically trying to Find/Capture/Train a pokemon, was pretty much normal for most of my life as a 9-10 year old.

Happened to me 2 days ago, while I was trying to finish The Whispered World. A fabulous new point & click adventure with fun puzzles, gorgeous graphics and good story.

A game that consistently does this to me? Well, L4D2 and TF2 mostly. Good thing that most missions have to END at some point, or else I would have probably died of thirst or starvation by now.

I was playing Monster Hunter Tri the other night and I finished the next day, looked back at those little Wii Messages and found out Id been playing for 16hours straight... I still have no idea how that happened.

Was awesome though.

Halo 3 and Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer.... and Fallout 3 when it first came out.... those r the ones i have done it the most with...

When I got Fallout 3, I was up for hours each night playing it, DLC included. That sucked up so many hours of my time.

fallout 3 - I didn't just lose sleep from late night/early morning play, but also lost out on a week of college because it is so good.
Mass Effect 2 - Played it through the night and completed it while the birds were tweeting outside.

I don't usually play games for more than two hours before losing interest or having to do something else.

However, I think a four-hour Bad Company 2 spree was my longest.

I think both Mass Effects are the ones that keep me up all night most often.

Occasionally, when I have a new game that really holds my interest. That hasn't happened with single player games lately though.

Now MULTIPLAYER GAMES... seriously, I've lost so many sleep hours with Team Fortress 2 it's uncanny.

This has been a problem my whole life.

The first game I stayed up all night playing would have been Dragon Warrior on the NES, and since then it's only gotten worse.

Masters of Orion, Civilization (2-4 consistently), Final Fantasy 7, Ultima and a MUD game (during my stint with MMOs), Defense of the Ancients and most recently Dwarf fortress have all been accidental all nighters.

Occasionally I have forced myself to be up to play all night, such as when I beat Jade Cocoon in one sitting, Goldeneye tournaments and Close Combat 5 with my friend.
