These days, my PC is set up so that the virus killer runs its update and full scan at 1AM, bringing everything else to a crashing halt. I use it as my 'go the hell to bed' alarm.

Elder Scrolls 3 kept me up to six one time and a few years later I played Guild Wars from about 10am to 2am the next morning.

To tell you the truth the last time it went really wrong was with a book i kept reading until 6 AM. I've done it lots of times =) nothing can suck me in as much as a good fantay book. that said it does happen like every weekend that i end up playing some game 'till 2 AM or so

The only time this ever happened to me was when I first played COD4. I stayed up most of the night trying to beat the mission where you are snipers and you are trying to defend your team mate while you wait for the helicopter...Other than that I've always controlled my playing

When I got Modern Warfare 2, I played it from when i got it at midnight, to 8am. Then I slept.
I also don't play Dragon Age:Origins very often because I need to spend at least 3 hours playing it.

MOST of the night (8 PM to 4 AM) on my friends' Modern Warfare 2, and also on Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. Halo 3 some nights too and ODST one night.

Last time? Maybe a week ago. I was playing Zafehouse [http://www.zafehouse.com/] and Civilization 4. Of course, the real reason I was up was a conscious decision, since I was so sick I was unable to sleep without vomiting.

A few games have done that to me, the first being Timesplitters: Future Perfect. Playing two-player vs. bots on the hardest difficulty in a first to 1000 kill match was horribly addictive. Kept us up until 5 in the morning.
More recently, CoD:MW2 has frequently kept me awake until 3 in the morning. So has inFamous and Bioshock (which shouldn't really be played at night alone) as well. Though I think this because its the only time I can play the more violent games - younger brother and all that...

I did that so many times with future perfect, my neighbor/buddy would come over at say, 4 pm then walk back to his house right next to mine at 5 am. So perfect, future perfect.

Browsing on my PSP in bed can keep me up all night until 2 am! Also the GTA series is highly addictive to me.

Since I'm officially addicted to games I can say that every good game has this effect on me.

Other side of the medal is the fact that I'm (as my grandmother likes to say) an owl. I just feel so much better at night! I like staying up late since in the evening my brain seems to work much better than regularly at day... I know it might sound strange but I'm sure some of you understands what I mean .

SINS of a solar empire does this to me every time. I start up a small match playing away happily building up my defenses still getting ready to make an all out attack with cap ships then when I take a break to go to toilet 6 hours have past

I got 3 hours of sleep that night (morning?)...
