Ever notice how in multiplayer games there are certain maps that are played so often that you get sick of them? Sometimes it gets so bad that there are dedicated servers running said maps 24/7.

What's your favorite multiplayer titles that suffer from this? I'll start it off with two examples:

Team Fortress 2: 2Fort. God, I hate 2Fort. The battlements are plagued with Snipers, and the entrances to the intel room are narrow chokepoints, perfect for Engineers to turtle with their sentry guns. Because of this, the match frequently ends with a stalemate.

Halo Reach: Sword Base. It mystifies me why this one is so popular, as the map itself is boring as hell. It's just a three story complex made entirely of rectangles and bridges. It's frustrating watching it win the map vote time after time, particularly if there are more interesting maps to choose from like Powerhouse.

2fort in Team Fortress, or as I call it, "Sniperfort".

In Bad Company 1, that huge grassy map where the attackers get artillery and a Blackhawk, and everyone goes Recon (sniper).

Mountain Pass in Killing Floor.

It is quite possibly the most tedious map in the history of zombie games, what with it taking upwards of 10 minutes for all the specimens to make their way to you from about round 5 onwards. It's so slow that I end up having to shave between rounds because it just takes so. fucking. long.

Hanoi in black ops...I am just horrible at that map. No matter what I do I end up destroyed.

2Fort is 100 times better in TFC then in TF2. But I don't mind it in TF2. The maps I usually can't stand are the KotH maps. I just can't get into them, and they seem so pointless. Nucleus is the worst for me.

Cold War in BC2, otherwise known as Bloom War: Revenge of the Bloom.

[small]Even when I have bloom turned off, bloom still strikes with a vengeance...[/small]

Oh yeah and it's generally a shit map anyway.

Crossfire - only good gamemode on this is domination, and even that is barely balanced enough to be any fun.

Creek - oh the horror

Shipment - yeeeeeeah... 3x frag anyone?

CoD4 by the way, for those who never played it

Sorry OP, but I'm one of those people. I find Sword Base is quite a good level, with the two three-story complexes linked by bridges like some kind of block war situation. Running around the corridors can get samey I'll admit, but that's why you'll see most people playing that level with the jet-pack - the added mobility really changes the pace and feel of the level, not least of all because you're no longer dependent on the bottle-neck bridges.

Sticking with Reach, I can never get why people continually pick Reflection. I hate that level with a passion, not least of all because you always (and I mean always) have one person in every lobby who thinks that picking Active Camo, grabbing the Energy Sword as soon as the level starts and then sitting at the top of the cargo lift is the height of tactical cunning.

Bah! Nuketown is nothing compared to the hell that was Shipment from CoD4!

Why is this? Imagine if you took only the little inside portion of Nuketown situated between the houses, cut that out, and made it into its own map. Sounds like a terrible idea, right? Well it is, and that is basically what Shipment was.

Kasyr Lutien or somesuch in DoW/Winter Assault

It's that 3v3 map with bridges between a city in the middle and the players on each side.

It's just too slow. I usually end up going medic in the hopes that someone will get themselves hurt by severely over-estimating their skill level, and then come running back to me so I can heal them. Because sitting around doing nothing most of the time is much more fun than running around and shooting at the zombies with such infrequency that I'm accomplishing just about the same amount as when I'm doing nothing.

For me it's Biotics Lab in Killing Floor. Too dark, too green and TOO narrow. It's almost as bad as Bedlam. >.>

Nothing is as crap as Bedlam. NOTHING.

Edit
Nothing. Ever.

It's impossible for anything to be anywhere near as crap as Bedlam.

The only game I reply play that has the ability to suffer this is Halo Reach, and for me, I have to agree with OP on Sword Base. It's interesting that you also mentioned Powerhouse, because I actually had to look that one up, I forgot it was in the game.

It's that bad that I've played it maybe once or twice in multiplayer in the 4 months reach has been out, yet I know my way around SB blindfolded pretty much. Same with the Reflection map.
