As most people know, Skyrim comes out tomorrow, and a lot of retailers are doing a midnight release.
I was originally going to go to said midnight release, and I was planning on playing all night due to the fact that Friday is Veteran's Day in the states, and a lot of people get the day off. I'm honoring the sacrifices made by the veterans by playing videogames all day due to our freedom.
Well what's your excuse?
Anyways, I was so excited to finally get Skyrim, a game that I've been waiting for, for a year.
So I called my stepbrother and asked if he would take me to the event. He apparently is taking all of his friends and has no room for me.
No big deal, I still have another stepbrother who can drive me... but he's working. Until 3 A.M.
My parents? They all have work tomorrow and probably wouldn't have taken me even if they didn't. Not that I blame them, my parents don't really give a shit about videogames. At least not enough to drive me out to the mall at midnight.
As for myself, I have no car, no license, and no way to get to one of the three local Gamestops.
I would call my friends, but I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one in my circle of friends who gives a shit about TES V.
So I'm sitting here, impatiently waiting and hoping that somebody will change their mind and want to drive me.
TL;DR
I complain about my impatience and lack of luck; much like any middle class American teenager does.
Discussion value; what was a time when you couldn't wait for something but a bunch of strategically placed, tiny little obstacles prevented you from doing what you wanted so badly to do?
