Fem-Shep (fire-power, biotics, military training, advanced medical skills, tech), Cammy (cqc specialist, military training, very fast and nimble) and Optimus Prime (fire power, immune to zombie bite, gigantic - could simply lift you to safety, transportation and possibly a base). All three have the benefit of being experts in tactics - the question is why would they bother safe-guarding me, unless I'm the last man alive in which case those first two choices have another huge advantage.
A female Revan from KotOR would be my substitute for Optimus if he doesn't count (didn't originate in videogames).

shaymin (because they can kick but and is small so can be a good scout in case we run into ruins plus their pollution into seeds ability would come in handy if we secure a base), link (experienced),and Suicune for its water purification ability (survival isn't all about fighting)
Samus Aran, and two of the characters from Aliens vs. Predator.
One, the Xenomorph you play as, Number 6. She's a unique Xeno. Smarter than the others. And if you play the game, you know what situations she's capable of eating her way through. She'd survive, no doubt.
Two, the Predator you play as. He as all the Predator weapons in his arsenal, and he can jump and shit. He could just jump up to a rooftop and blast away at 'em with his Plasma Caster, or throw the Smart Disc at them, alllllll day.

Leon Kennedy, Francis and Ezio. If I'm going to die I might as well surround myself with likable, funny and or hot guys.
Hum, why do people chose guys from combat/shooter games and not characters from RPGs or RTS , they have way more potential.
I would get (taking only games I own, and actual controllable characters)
-Drogoth the dragon lord (The battle for Middle-Earth II). Always wanted to ride a dragon!
-Aribeth de Tylmarande (Neverwinter nights: Hordes of the Underdark). Magical powers, awesome fighter, and has motivation since she hates zombies. Oh, and love the personality (and re-population)
-Deekin (same game). Because I need someone to write songs about my great glory. And he can totally kick-ass.

Jun from Halo: Reach, who would extend our killzone to at least 1 mile.
