Playing Condemned always makes me paranoid that there are very violent, unpleasant people behind and around me. I seriously peek around the corners of my doorway when I walk out of my room to go to the fucking bathroom.

Oh well, I guess that means it's an effective horror game.

Oh, and sometimes I hear the Xbox Live "boop-beep" noise randomly while I'm going about my day. There isn't any rhyme or reason to when or why I hear it, I just do. It's weird.

When I played GTA IV I used to get slightly nervous when cop cars drove by. I always thought:"I better not accidentally touch any cars now." and always made sure my hands were empty.

If you were to ever see me playing football, you'd see my little finger on my left hand twitch. Why? I'm looking for the bulletdodge key.

Every time I go into a shop, I'm preparing to press B, 4, 3, B, 6, 2, to buy my M4A1, Kevlar and my helmet.

Not so much a gaming habit, but whenever I walk into a room full of people, I can feel myself getting +v. Fucking IRC.

Has something in gaming ever been repeated so much that it's become etched into your brain? Something that you're so used to that it becomes sort of a habit?

For me, I was so used to finding bobby pins in Fallout 3 to pick locks with that sometimes in real life I'll notice a couple of bobby pins sitting around and my first instinct is to pick them up so I can pick locks.
When I was 11 I called Butterflies "Butterfrees" and goldfish "Goldeens" and kept having to correct myself >.<

If I play too much Minesweeper or Tetris in a short period of time my brain refuses to stop playing it in my head. When I stop thinking I see my imagination is actually playing the stupid game. Annoys the crap out of me.

I once jumped down a flight of stairs and only realized what I had done after I was in pain.

Well in GTA IV its kind of second nature to walk around holding a weapon and stealing vehicles is your primary method of transportation.

Once I was at the hospital and there was a policeman behind me. His radio made a sound like a combine on HL and I freaked.

I still find myself reaching for random household objects across the room with the assumption that they'll fly into my hand.

After playing GTA 4 for a while I sometimes get an urge while driving to rear-end motorcycles at high speeds to send the drivers flying.

I've always been able to resist though. So far.

I actually noticed myself thinking once that I should just chuck a fireball down the gas-tank of a person who once made me absolutely furious.

Upon discovering this train of thought in my mind, I was too shocked to stay angry. All I could think of was 'Well, now it has happened to me. I'm officially 100% nerd." followed by a self-declared exile of all things related to computer- and role-playing-games for a month. I even gave up all computers more complex than a cellphone for a week.

Enough is enough and once the limit between fantasy and reality gets too blurred it's time for radical action. That was an interesting, but a nice month nontheless. Made me greatly appreciate literature once more and the reality check was needed.

When I used to play Beyond Good and Evil I got so used to sneaking that when my wife came home and said hi I instantly started looking for a vent to jump into and hide.

Well, I once dropped something in my car after playing Half Life for a while. When I went to look for it, I made a blind reach for the flashlight key so that I could see.

I dropped my dad's toolbox on the ground, and expected a sentry to start building.
I can relate to this. I was building a sentry one day, and i kept thinking a spy was gonna sap it.
