Moonlight hitting the sea really does it for me, at night when the seas all black obviously.
Because moonlight hits the sea in the day time so goddamn often...?
Did you miss the "Obviously" part in there?

Last Summer, I went with my concert band to the South of France. On the first night, we were invited to this big welcoming party on top of the hill, behind the hotel. Courtyard-type thing, I guess. Whatever. Anyway, from where we were, you could see down to the Mediterranean, all down the hill, a few of the towns along the coast... it was amazing. Paradise.

That and love. If only I could combine/could have combined the two...

Yes there is a lot of beauty in the world. Like a fresh can of pepsi, a freshly rolled cigarette, a dark night sitting on your roof staring at the stars.
That sounds wonderfully serene, especially if you mean all three at once.

You're right, you're casting pearls to swine who fail to distinguish themselves from "the rough". I'm sorry that I lack the capacity to truely perceive how insightful your original post really was... Or perhaps it's my wisdom that is flying straight over your head...and we're back on opinion, aren't we?
i'm actually doing the opposite of casting pearls before swine (go look up the idiom). you have no wisdom or knowledge that is worth sharing. i would prove it to you, but honestly i don't care enough for your kind to do so.

Your condescending tone is distasteful. Especially considering how inconsequential and vacuous what you are saying actually is.
don't bite off more than you can chew. i have shown you more than you can understand. and you will for all the wrong reasons want to label that as vacuous and inconsequential or other equally vapid words. you seem to forget that whatever your opinion is, it doesn't matter, and that i'm not here for you.

you have nothing else to say in this matter, so i will leave the discussion here.

Actually...I don't think I'm finished. Come back!

Everything is meaningless, that's cool...I like it that way. It doesn't change the fact that you only posted to point out how pointless the thread was, which is ironically the most pointless post of them all. Other people managed to contribute some art, or a song... You know, something that wasn't just an insult aimed at the creator of the thread.

When I was a child I had a friend who would insist that he knew everything, but would share nothing.
"I'm not telling you, but I know...believe me."
Your pathetic need for everyone to think that you know things has induced nostalgia in me.

I can make insulting assumptions about you too...

You're a bully, and a troll.

I try not to take anything for granted each and every day as I imagine that tomorrow's the zombie apocalypse.
Than that luxury of always having a full belly, loving parents, playing over the internet and many, MANY other things will be gone in the blink of an eye.

With that, I think everything is beautiful.

Except the aging process.
I don't want to go amiss on my teen-age as I can't go back. Ever.

You should try living here ;) It's effing awesome. Tolkien, amongst others, admitted to taking inspiration for his writing from it's landscape. Depending on the day, I feel it looks like something out of a fairy tale, a heavy metal album cover or just plain awesome in it's own way. Hell, I frequently use parts of where I live in my writing just because it's so darn beautiful.

Nope, I was just pointing out that there was no need to say the second part.

I suppose, it did lower the quality of my post dramatically.

I've visited Ronda, apart from making me feel a little light headed, I was also struck by it's beauty.
Amazing place. I got a spanish site too in my memory, Cuenca:

And my favourite Portuguese place, Sintra:

Also I love snow, its just so damn beautiful, despite disruptive and dangerous.
Once I was in Switzerland during winter and I never had seen snowing before in my life (I was 15). So a couple of days before christmas a blizzard came down on us, and the world became white all around, even being close to midnite. I couldnt resist but put myself in some warm equipment and go to the balcony to watch (well after 5 minutes the freezing temperatures and nasty wind grab me out of my astonishment and reminded me I could turn into an ice stick).

i read only this sentence out of your entire post. keep in mind that you were the first to spark the discussion. if you hadn't antagonized me, i would have left you alone. so much for your bully theory. as for the trolling: i'm not, because i would have used ludicrous claims - which i haven't here.

I don't believe that for a second. Stop trying so hard to be cool...it's lame.

I'll be succinct.

Posting only to ridicule OP and his thread - Bully behaviour.
Contributing nothing but flame - Troll behaviour.

Now that I'm finished with you, you may leave.

...that's how you sound.

...Hm.

I was going to post exactly that, only without the rain. It's one of the few sights that I simply must behold.

Standing on the end of a small peninsula just north of Two Harbors, Minnesota at 11:30 PM. Clear skies above with nothing but moonlight illuminating the rocky shoreline, it's shining sibling glistening in the rolling waves. The water softly crashing upon the rocks, the cool wind weaving through my hair...

Probably one of only a few times in my entire life where I was in a sense of total peace.

Somebody mentioned it when I was in 7th form (aged 17) and it stuck with me. Now every time I see it I have to take a photo. And yeah, the rain's optional, it just makes it more visible.
