Herb Grey?

Actually, I think we have some hockey player statues in this town. I'd be surprised if there isn't a Tie Domi or Bob Probert statue somewhere.

I'm from Newry, an Irish town that you've probably never heard of on account of it being in Ireland. It has 2 rather large shopping centres and happens to be right on the border of The Republic, also known as The South. Because shit is so expensive down there, all the people from The South come to Newry to do their shopping and it's impossible to get parking anywhere near a shop.

Also it has a big old canal called The Canal. Lots of boats stay there for some reason and it used to be used for trading, lots of trading. Not any more though.

I'm pretty sure some other stuff happened round these parts but I can't remember what.

According to Wikipedia, nothing. I don't even know what it was named for, but apparently absolutely nothing of any importance has ever happened there.

Erm well after checking wikipeida all I could find for my town (Maidstone, Kent - UK) was... there was a battle here in the English Civil War in 1648. So I dunno a statue of a soldier or something?
Also the only famous people who come from here are: Ralph Steadman (a cartoonist, now dead) - he would be a good candidate for a statue. Karen Millen, an ok choice I suppose. Theres actually quite a list on the Wikipedia page but these were the only ones I'd heard of.

OK i found something, apparently there is a crater on Mars which was named the "Maidstone Crater" in 1976, cos NASA like to name craters after small towns, well who knew.

I don't mean to sound rude but that it's the most hilarious statue I've ever seen. Why does it look so silly?

Supposedly it has a wolfhound encased in it so maybe that's why it looks so out of proportion. Could've just been a bad sculpter.

Pittsburgh (and its surrounding areas) has Roberto Clemente, we should have a statue for Mario Lemieux (I know, he wasnt born here, but he made his name being in pittsburgh), Andy Worhal, Arnold Palmer, Mr. Rogers (oh yea!), Dan Marino, Perry Como, Robert Fulton, Jonas Salk, George W. Ferris (built the Ferris Wheel), Andrew Carnegie, Andrew Mellon, Henry J. Heinz (Heinz Ketchup), George Romero, Jeff Goldblum, and Michael Keaton.

You are all very welcome.

Uhhh, my hometown has nothing going for it other than livestock or flea markets. So, I suppose a gold statue of a cow would adequately represent us.
