CURSE YOU TURBINE SUPPORTERS >.<

steam shoulda won :(

haha :)
Maybe if they had treated their customers like Turbine does, they might've won.
What does Turbine do that's better (In treating their customers)? I've had the same experience with both companies in how they treat me. (Which was excellent)

The difference is, I prefer my Half Life and Team Fortress to LoTRO.
Then how will you explain games for $50 that cost 50 EUR in Europe? Even in countries that not only don't use EUR yet, but aren't in the European Union?

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=770231
You not forced to buy games from Steam. Get over it.
1. That doesn't mean they are fair.

2. Constantly ignoring customers for 4 months?

3. If a game is no longer sold in any shop I've seen (for example, even though I have 2 copies of Beyond Good and Evil, one was pre-ordered for full price, the other was off Steam), I am forced. Or to pirate the game, and that's what they want, I think.

4. Are they idiots or what? People noticed that their games are much more expensive and are boycotting.
You could have bought beyond good and evil PC version from Amazon there for you are not forced to buy it from Steam.
Amazon to Poland? Do you know how insanely high costs of transport would be? I'm not even sure they would send it.

There's a big difference in comparing Steam to Turbine in customer service. Turbine is a tiny company with a lot of ambition, and are able to talk to customers individually in order to hone there pre-existing products. Steam make some of the biggest franchises in the video game world, where they lock themselves in there rooms and polish unto perfection, and run a service that is pretty much synonymous with non-MMO (And even some MMOs) PC games. If they wanted to deal with customers one one one like that, they would have to hire...Nebraska. Yelling at one company for not being like the other is like Yelling at Michael Phelps for being bad at Football: Maybe its true, but that's not there thing, they do something else, and are fantastic at it.
I don't expect a miracle. I expect they at least aknowledge a 4-month thread and stop ignoring people. And ripping them off.

Latest news: Some shops started adjusting their prices to match with Valve's games. For some time, TF2 was 60 PLN. Now it's 80 PLN (change from $ to EUR).

You shan't mention the word Turbine around me. Not after what they did to my precious Valve...
Just because its Valve doesn't mean you're allowed to be a trollish fanboy. I voted for Valve to win (and I'm assuming you did too), even though I actually wanted Nintendo to win, because 3/4 of the Escapist are Valve fanboys. I love Valve games too guys, but this kind of stuff gets old.

Welcome Turbine fans! Have fun and enjoy your stay at The Escapist- just watch out for the bitter MM losers.

I'm still a bit torn as to whether or not I will stay around. For the moment, then, I will be lurking and posting where I see some interesting stuff. :)

No problem, now go watch trolls happily prance around a "Atheism vs Agnosticism vs Religion" thread.

Seriously?
To be fair man, a lot of people had no idea who Turbine was before this tournament. If he didn't actively partake in the MM threads then its perfectly reasonable for him not to know.
