Hey, if you're a gamer then it doesn't matter if you're a cat or a dog or whatever. No llamas allowed, but other than that it's cool. I don't see the point in the term cat-gamer though. I mean you're a gamer who happens to be a cat, and that's cool. But if you come in the room shouting "hey look at me, I'm a cat-gamer" then I'm going to think ill of you. Not because you're a cat or a gamer-that-happens-to-be-a-cat, but because you're an attention seeker. From experience though, I've found cat-haters more of a problem than attention seeking cats.

Is it just me, or do all the people who whine about cat gamers come off as never having pet a cat? I think they're just frustrated because cats won't let them pet them.
They should meat my cat Twinkle Toes. She will love just about anybody. My friend calls her sexy cat.

Cats go meow. The more you know.

Isn't there enough hate in this world. I dream of a world where cats and dogs are friends, where they can walk side by side and live in harmony.

If you want war SO BE IT! Dogs are good for cuddling and good for war! cats are only good at peeing in litter boxes and coughing up hairballs!

Am I the only one who's massively disappointed this thread wasn't talking about this?

(YouTube footage of cats playing iPad games [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKzRoBa0Fqg], which I can't get to embed properly)

I'm honestly curious how widely popular (among cats) these games are. Mine seem to periodically enjoy "playing along" with me, i.e. attacking the moving objects onscreen when I'm seated at my XBox. Portal is a particular favorite, owing I imagine to the high-contrast colors. That said, I'm a little too skeptical to give them free reign over my tablet.

It's not about dogs or cats, hon. It's all about the owls. Notice how this owl bears a striking resemblance to Will Ferrell.

It's the most annoying thing in the world when I'm trying to play a nice online match with a bunch of people and some god damn cat has to come in and announce to the world that they are a "cat gamer," because I know that in a matter of seconds my poor ears will be subject to every single person yelling into their mics at the top of their lungs.

I understand that it's only a vocal minority of cats that do this, and I myself know quite a few "cat gamers" who are actually very nice and would never be so outspoken while playing a game.

Dude, don't spoil the parody party.
Dogs can get frustrating to deal with as well, but nothing can compare to parrots. Except maybe manatees.

Better?

Much better. Though that is totally uncalled for, every manatee I have ever met online has been super chill.
Well, I used to think manatees were pretty cool, until I started noticing that they always called out the giraffes for being terrible at hardcore games. I mean, sure, giraffes should stick to iphone flash games, but there's really no reason to troll them for it.

Scottiest dog is best dog.

Somewhat on topic: I've noticed a lot of people 'felining' up their Sackpeople in LittleBigPlanet, often accompanied by anime hair. Doesn't bother me so much as confuse me, but eh, each to their own.

Thought this was a thread about a new game for the medical set. Like crowd sourced diagnostics or something... very disappointed.

Obvious joke is obvious, but since it's actually on-topic for once:

Do any of you people get cat psychology? Why the hell is it that, if I'm lying down, my cat doesn't know I exist, but the MINUTE I decide that I can't sleep and turn on my laptop, or pick up my 360 controller, she's got to be in my lap RIGHT NAO!

Damn cats...
I've always kind of attributed it to, if you're relaxed and not doing something, they know that they can gain your focus when/if they ever want it. If you're doing something then that means your not fully capable of turning your attention to the cat when/if they want it.

I have this same problem with my cat Taira, particularly whenever I was doing homework. I would sit with my laptop and my books strewn about me on the bed and that's when she would come to lay down on my books.

It's annoying as hell but...I still find it kind of cute. ^-^
