Never played it, and I always regretted it. I'm very much looking forward to this HD remake. Will be a day 1 purchase and probably a day 2-3 finish.
The game is quite long and has a multitude of side quests, so I'd be surprised if you beat after 2 days (assuming that you don't play it non-stop, of course).FieryTrainwreck said:Never played it, and I always regretted it. Yeah I've been interested in this game for quite some time, but I don't have a PS2, Wii or a DS(to my knowledge)Daystar Clarion said:As some of you may know, there's HD re-release Okami in the works, scheduled for a world wide release this autumn on Playsation 3.
This may be actually new to some of you, so here's a trailer:

*clears throat*
Now it's no secret how much I love this game, so it's a given that I'm picking this up and soon as it's available.
I'm more interested in what you guys think.
Have you played Okami before? If so, what did you think of the game? Will you be getting the HD release?
Some of you may not have played the game at all, in which case, what the fuck have you been doingare you interested in the game?
I got one question. Like the others that have said it, is Okamiden inferior to its original, Okami?blastinburn said:Finally, a decent reason to get PSMove. I got to see it for the first time when a friend got it for his birthday, I thought it was awesome. When it came out for the Wii I got it then and have loved it, also have Okamiden.
I definitely prefer painting with motion controls so I will probably wait until I can get the PSMove cheap.
My impression from Okamiden is that the devs were trying to replicate everything about Okami.Mirroga said:I got one question. Well maybe I'll give it go another time. I have been playing games all my (long) life though, so I usually have a good feel for where a game is going, whether it can surprise me, and if I'm going to enjoy it. Never liked Ocarina of Time either BTW, crossing Hyrule field was about the only part of that game I did enjoy (yet I rank Wind Waker and Majora's Mask amongst the best games I've ever played).Liam Barden said:Im not sure if its possible to really see what is so great about the game in an hour and half. Im not saying you'd definately like it if you stuck with it, but stopping so early is like stopping ocarina of time before you even reach hyrule field.floppylobster said:I played it on the Wii but stopped playing after about an hour and a half.

Only better in every conceivable way.
Oh you little piece of those unfortunate enough to miss this gem of PS2. I absolutely hate Okami in a same way I hate Skyrim or Witcher 2 I just dont have time to paly them. The whole game is a masterpiece. Artstyle, music, combat, puzzles, Ammy. Amaterasu is a fucking badass lady!Roofstone said:I haven't played it no, but I will get it when this comes out. That is for certain. <3
I very whole-heartedly agree. When I first got the game I couldn't figure out how to attack (I was admittedly just flailing the wii-mote). Eventually I learned to time my swings. I would definitely want a button for attacking in the HD version.Daystar Clarion said:The thing with motion controls, is that painting is easier, but combat is a pain in the arse.blastinburn said:Finally, a decent reason to get PSMove. OT: I've never actually played Okami, even though tons of times before I've looked at it in the Wii section of my local gaming shop and gone "I really should get that", then gone with another game. I'll definitely be picking this up sometime or another, when I can get myself off Borderlands 2 enough to play it.
Damn, now I don't have a way that will guarantee your anger. Well, I do, but it will most likely get me banned if I post it, or even a link to it.Daystar Clarion said:Snip
