In fact, even if you do, it probably won't have the same puzzle mechanics. that makes it unique.

Which is all well and good but 90% of the game still involves shooting at shit in a first person perspective so it's hardly unique in that sense

I enjoyed Mass Effect much more than Half-Life. The first Half-Life was not bad but still mediocre the second game though was boring, and shitty, as hell.

This ladies and gentleman, is why I proclaim that this site is filled with nothing but 16 year old consletards. Half Life 2 is the pinnacle of good writing, and good storytelling in video games. I've NEVER seen anyone tell a story better through a first person perspective, you actually feel like you're part of the action, as opposed to being a bystander watching through some magic mirror.

Objectively, Bioware writing is shit. They are melodramatic, their dialogue is ridiculous, and their story and plot choices are cliched POS. The last Bioware game I enjoyed was Kotor, and even that was more centered around my love for the Star Wars universe than it was for Bioware.

Not to mention their laughably bad game mechanics in ALL of their games. Bioware was a company that was actually pretty decent, but they've just gotten progressively worse, anyone who played Kotor and then went straight onto Mass Effect would tell you as much.
