Found Rogue Trooper surprisingly good. As a big fan of 2000ad I wasn't expecting much from a tie in game but it was actually pretty faithful. Getting to play through such an iconic moment as the quartz zone massacre was a bit of a treat.

Now we need a decent Dredd game. I'm not counting the old Commodore 64 one, that's getting too old school. Speaking of the 64, there needs to be a new Strontium Dog game, there is a lot of potential in that for an awesome bounty hunting game.
Agreed.Rogue Trooper was an enjoyable game and I would also love to see a new Dredd game.I was expecting one to come out to tie in with the movies release but there seems to be nothing on the horizon

What's surprising is the complete lack of 2000AD games.Rebellion Games own 2000AD so you would expect them to be using the licences a bit more but aside from last years Dredd IOS game there hasn't been a proper 2000AD game since Rogue Trooper.Surely the likes of Dredd,Rogue,Slainé,Strontium Dogs etc. are ripe for game versions

Absolutely, given the turgid gaming that is available at the moment, surely a great 2000ad game could stir things up. Imagine Johny Alpha and Wulf Sturmhammer turning up for a case. How do you handle it, time bomb, number four cartridge or der happystick?

I recently started playing Alien Breed: Tower Assault again, after finishing the Evolution Trilogy, brings back memories.

The old games (as in, last generation or earlier) I'm currently playing are Heroes of Might and Magic 3, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike and Banjo Kazooie. Heroes 3 is a freaking classic, SF3 is probably the best 2D fighting game ever made, and Banjo Kazooie is a good game that involves a lot of nostalgia for me.

Personally I'd love a Slainé game. He'd be a perfect candidate for a God of War style hack n' slash or something along those lines you would think.

I was going to make a thread on this; i've moved into my new house for the year and my housemate brought his PS2, so we've been playing a ton of pro evo 4 (from 2004), Croc legend of the gobbos, Rayman Crash bandicoot 2, Crash team racing and crash bash. Ultimate nostalgia kicks.
Also, croc is unbelievably tricky. The clunky controls make it so challenging, at 19 years old i'm struggling with a game I completed aged 4 or 5.

I started playing Homeworld again just so I could fight the Turanic Raiders for the first time.

Again.

I just got my PS2 emulator working (PCSX2) and am going through and playing a bunch of old games, as well as some new (to me) games.

Unfortunately, i have no way to get the old saves to the "new" system, so im starting everything over from scratch.

I've got that on the Amiga CD-32, awesome game.

At the moment, I'm playing a game from my childhood, Jet Force Gemini. It's so, so good.

I've also just picked up Skies of Arcadia, and I'm looking forward to playing that next.

I replay old games that I enjoy all the time, the original iD Software FPS games in particular.
As for old games I'm playing for the first time? I just got started on the Resident Evil franchise. I picked up the first one saying "Well it's just six games, and I can't properly call myself a survival horror fan if I haven't played Resident Evil, now can I?"
Then I discovered that there are nearly 26 of these freaking games.
I can't say I'm surprised, knowing Capcom. "well, screw that!" said I. "I'll just play the main ones with numbers in the title!"
I hope this doesn't result in some sort of enormous leap where a bunch of crap I've never heard about gets talked about commonplace.
Anyways, I'm nearly done with Resident Evil 2, playing as Leon.

I recently picked up Baldur's Gate 2 and Planescape: Torment on GOG.com, I heard a lot of good things about those games, but I've never gotten around to playing them until now (loving them both, though I do wish the camera in Torment would just zoom out a little bit, it feels rather cramped).

Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Super Mario Bros 3 because they are awesome, also regularly play Crash Team Racing (when friends are around) and will be starting another playthrough of FFVII when I get some time.

Very recently though as in the last few days the oldest I have played is SF3 Third Strike.

Gamecube nostalgia is the only reason I haven't thrown my Wii in a river; I still play the Prime series and Tales of Symphonia regularly.

That and I do a run-through of all the Ratchet and Clank games once a year.

Killer Instinct, Super Metroid, and other SNES games... Current gaming is just crap anymore so going old school until something piques my interest.

I still play Age of Empires II, don't think I've stopped playing it since I got it, well, years and years and years ago.

And Evil Genius, a game that definetly deserves a sequel (sadly, the game studio went down tough, so that won't happen).

I'd also like to install Theme Park World and Black and White, but unfortunately, age has taken it's toll on the compability mode and they don't work in Windows 7 :(

Damn, they just don't make games like this anymore.
Have you played Caesar III? Quite identical to Pharaoh except, well, it's Rome.

Damn I love those two games.
