Huge debacscandal almost exactly a year ago now. Art director broke her arm, EC asked Escapist for money to pay for surgery (because of the recession Escapist wasn't paying a lot of people, which is why a lot of shows got axed; EC stayed because it was practically taking IOUs as payment), Escapist wouldn't pay up, EC left for YouTube, Escapist eventually pulled the video archive off of the site around half a year later.bl4ckh4wk64 said:Then again, I completely missed out on the last few months of the show so I never fully understood why they left anyway.
Yeah I miss a lot of the old shows too. No Right Answer seems like it could be good, but I always feel like they skip over MAJOR points in their arguments. But yeah I could do with some of the older comedies and stuff. I'm just going to do an info dump right now of some shows that were on here and some that were not.OneOfTheMichael said:Now I have been an escapist member for a few years now, and I use to be a pretty active member here for quite some time. Now I'm not only come on from time to time. When I was first brought here I came here during the time escapist had a whole bunch of different series going on like: apocalypse lane, unforgotten realms, and my favourite internet series of all time, Doomsday Arcade. Though these series have been long time finished, I still have a gapping whole left from when I use to look forward to and enjoy these series. Now they're gone and other series I have enjoyed since than have been short lived, and the only videos the escapist has anymore, are review vids. It also has loadingreadyrun which i enjoy fairly casually, but I keep on hoping that I will log on one day and find a new and interesting series.
So do you guys feel the same?
Give me your opinion if you have the time.

Those were both hilarious in their own way.
Doomsday Arcade was brilliant and I'm really surprised I haven't seen anything else from those guys.
I remember it going like this:TheYellowCellPhone said:I never watch the content anymore. I haven't seen Zero Punctuation in months now.

It's pretty tragic if a site refuses to allow users to criticise it, though admittedly it's been way too long to bother dredging that up again.FalloutJack said:Okay, I should say Extra Credits too, but let's just face it...the Escapist wasn't the best environment for them. No, not because of the users. There's a ton of people here who liked EC and an amount of them left when they did. Everyone around at the time of EC's departure KNOWS why that happened...

...but MODesty forbids the actual talking about it, I'm sure.
(Oh, and yeah I'm aware that UR still has a place of its own and updates, and that they left the site for...about the same reasons as EC, but I really did like those guys here.)
