Old games which should be remade

After seeing the Monkey Island remake, I thought about what other games I would buy if they were remade.

My choices where:

The original Deus Ex - keep the plot, locations and gameplay mechanics the same, just update the graphics for next-gen consoles.

In the same line of thought, Final Fantasy VII - keep all the gameplay the same, just with next-gen graphics. Considering the amount of spin-off games FFVII has, I'm surprised this hasn't been done.

What would you pick?

Meh...the only thing good about the remake of Secret of Monkey Island is the voice overs...then again I already bought it, finished it twice and hoping they do the same for LeChuck's Revenge...

i think rome total war should be redone or at least have a second one, is soo much better then empire in some ways

How could I forget? Loved that game.

Another one I'll add is Dungeon Keeper.

Unreal Championship. The first one, and personally, I don't care if they update the graphics, I just wanna play it on the 360 without the massive, complex maps which require transports.

I think Shadowrun (SNES) should be remade in a Oblivion/Fallout 3 rpg style.

Both Final Fantasy VIII and IX should be remade. But while that's all well and good the game that really needs a remake with next-gen graphics is Skies of Arcadia.

The original three Spyro games.
But true to the originals, all the same levels, same platforming style, but with updated music and graphics.

The Spyro games lost their touch on me when they stopped being a platform-er... or at least stopped being like the originals, going through portals and all.

GTA San Andreas (yeah I know it isn't that old) given GTA IV's graphics and physics, but keep everything else intact. Maaan that'd be awesome.

Also Jedi Knight II.

It's not really an old game though.

Just to clarify, when you say remake do you mean a new interpretation of the game? Or the same exact game just with better graphics?

Resident Evil 1+2 with updated graphics and gameplay, a true-to-the-original SONIC game, Crash! Bandicoot, Metal Gear 1+2, Deus Ex, Rogue Leader, Pandemonium!, One, Bushido Blade (even though they made one for the PS2 that only came out in Japan), Ikaruga.... that's about all I can really think of now...

It really would. The lightsaber fights in multi-player were the most fun lightsaber fights I've ever played.

I'd really like a re-make of Quake. Just the original Quake.

Not that old but with the oblivion engine and graphics, it would be the best of all time
