No one at all?
Are you thinking of Shining Tears?
Nope, thats not it. :/ It had to do with a rather common plot of a band of rebels/outlying nations trying to stop an evil empire from subverting the entire realm, etc etc. But it turns out in some weird twist that the main character, who had amnesia, turned out to be THE emperor. And so at the end, you can choose whether or not to be the emperor, or to stay with all your friends and stuff you made playing the game and whatnot. The game was a strategy game, turn based. And the characters fought with "ring" weapons, as in...all the weapons were rings. Just rings, anyone could equip any ring, but based on their soul, it would turn into different weapons. And the main characters ring always turned into a broadsword. I remember another character you get later on was a bard who had a rapier.
So far, no one has been able to find this, i've been spending several hours a day for the past three weeks trying to find this game to no avail, can anyone at all help me identify this? This is pretty much my last shot at finding this amazing game again, I won't repost this again. :/

I'l ltry to explain the combat system as best as i can, because that is what was so unqiue about thius game...
Instead of finding weapons, you found rings. The rings had diferent stats and attributes on them, even special affects liek vampiric, etc. You could put a ring on anyone, but whenever that person entered combat, it always turned into their soul weapon. The main character had a giant two handed broadsword, like almost cloud buster sword style. It was a turn based strategy tactics game, and I can't recall how many peopel could be in your party during combat at once, but I do remember there being like 20+ diferent playable characters you could recruit, each one with individual storylines and personalitys, and based on who you recruited, how, and how you treated them, affected the ending of the game. And I also remember that at the very end, you can choose to save one. (all of them, even the male characters start to fall for the hero by the end, and based on how you treated them, even when they find out you're really the villain ,they still like you, and at the very end, you get to choose one to save, and thats what chooses the ending you get, because they end up as the characters romantic interest and the rest of the story plays out based on the goals of the hero + their romantic partner. I believe it may have been over the course of two games and had to have your save file imported, but I am not 100% on that.
Try "Growlanser III: The Dual Darkness".

So I've been trying to figure this one out for several years now with no success, as I was young when I played it and find it difficult to recall anything in detail.
What I recall is:
-Got the demo in an European (Swedish, more specifically) magazine called PC For All, PC För alla or PCGamer

-PC action adventure/rpg, may or may not have been released at other platforms as well

-most probably released sometime between mid 90's - to early 00's

-birds-eye view gameplay set in a forest environment

-you play as a young girl, and I remember combat being mostly kicking and punching (perhaps even hadoukens)

-I cant remember much except for a bossfight that marks the end of the demo, I think the boss is some dragon type guy that is "stuck" at the top of the screen (like the bosses in mushihimesama, except for them being impossible to beat)

-I believe it has SNES-level graphics, but that might just be my imagining, as I said I was young

-I could have sworn the game has something to do with "Gaia", at first I thought the title had "Gaia" somewhere in it, but I now doubt it after much research.

Any leads or thoughts?

This was so addictive, an educational thing about the environment or something but really good to play, anyone recognise this? "you put the hover-heli on autopilot and hover above the research centre" I cannot remember the name or anything else about it except that at one point this was said. I think the hover-heli was yellow and i used to play it in school more than 10 years ago. Anyone have a clue?

Came to this site for a game that I used to play a long time ago.

It was like an Age of Empires game but you started each level with a small group.
For example you had like 3 guys with a crossbow (elfs) , dwarfs and some guys with swords.

You couldn´t get more and you were fighting zombies mostly of the time, I used to have the game but I do not remember if it was a demo or the complete game.

When you killed the zombies blood was spilled and the zombies exploded.

I hope someone knows the game...
thanks :)
That sounds a lot like Myth, a rather unique series of real time strategy games.

Wow!!! Thanks a lot that game is the one I was looking for :)

Its a fantasy adventure sort of game from the 90's i think. I remember it being based more on dialogue and making the right decision rather than killing everything. I only remember a few parts like early on in the game you have to go to a witches hut or something and you can loot a bunch of things, but i think she appears as a spirit or something. Also i remember a ghost ship that talks to you or something like that. I dont think you really controlled the characters movements, but instead you sort of clicked on things to interact with them. Im pretty sure you start off leaving a castle or something, and i remember you could die like right away if you tried to cross the river the wrong way or something.
Also you are like a skinny dude, not even a knight i dont think, also its a pc game if i didnt mention that, does anyone recall the name?

Okay so, this was an old PC game, it had to of been around 1995ish. It was a cartoon game where the kingdom was in trouble and you had to go around gathering the "knights" to save the kings. The blacksmith was a knight that could change into a key and there were a bunch of other knights from the "round table" i believe. That's really all I remember.

Thank you for creating this thread!

I've been trying to find this game that I played on my grandma's PC because the music STILL plays in my head from AT LEAST 10 years ago. So, it may have been in Japanese, which could be why I'm having more trouble finding it. It's adventure, fantasy, sidescroll/page shift? It wasn't tiny pixels, the characters, who I believe you got the chance to pick at the beginning either male or female, were decorated and shaded well. Still 2D, but the art was beautiful. I always picked a female character; there was more than one because I remember trying to make a game for each character. So you kind of wander in this group? You wind up with like three or four? You may have been able to switch characters in game?? I remember specifically walking over a log to cross to another side of the... cave? A waterfall was the background. I'm trying to recall if the commands were on the bottom of the screen or not. (if it was in japanese, then i would've had no clue anyway)It made me wonder if it was a Final Fantasy of some kind, but none that I've looked at so far match. It's pretty... Japanese-looking, you know what I mean? Like FF:CC Japanese looking.

Please help! I want to play it again/find the music! Thank you!

I remember a robot game I played about 5 years back. I got it in a DVD included with a magazine (I believe it was either Bug or PC Chip, Croatian magazines) It was for the PC. The game was exclusively about robots and somewhat simmilar to Starcraft. It was a 3rd person game, but you could actually go into first person and control your robot with the WASD keys. I remember a 3-legged robot I loved to play as. In skirmish I believe there was 4 team colours : Red, blue, green and yellow.

Please help me, I've been trying to find the name of this game for quite some time.

Thanks in advance!

There was this game I played a while back on PS2, but I can' seem to remember what it is. You started off at your house on a farm like place and you played as a wolf or dog or something and it wasn't Okami. Does this game sound familiar to anyone? I think it has Quest in the name.
Dog's life?

That one isn't it, but thanks anyways
Is it The Dog Island - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dog_Island

Could have been one of the many King's Quest games.

Check them out.

PC Game, downloaded it a while back. When I say a while back I'm talking 8-12 years ago I think it was some sort of flash game.

It was a top down shooter where you played a marine who would land and were tasked with killing these aliens. The aliens shot brown goo-stuff at you and spawned from brown pods dotted around the map. The objective is to eliminate all the aliens and all the pods. There were buildings that you could go in/out of. The aliens could break the walls however.

You often had these gold badges drop which you would run to that would bring reinforcements to the field. There were also two power ups (from your original gun). A red one which game you a flamethrower and a blue one that made your bullets shoot in three but did more damage.

There was a special type of alien that when killed, split open and more of them came out (they look like the brain-eating bug from Starship Troopers). It's a shot in the dark here but I'm wondering if anybody has played this?
Haha, this game was great, last level was impossible to beat mind!
Its called Triumph War 2099

Hey so there was this game I played as a kid with my bro and my cousin probably in the mid 90's. I'm pretty sure it was on a windows 95 or something. Basically you were a tall ship and you just sailed around discovering new lands and then going back to Lisbon or other European ports and trading spices and silk and gems for gold and food and stuff. Also you could hunt (I'm pretty sure...) stuff like tapirs and also if you and you men on the ship could die of scurvy. Please help! I'm dying to remember the name and can't find anything scouring the Internet!

Hello,
I have two that have been bugging me for a very long time:
the first is a motorcycle racing game, it was cartoon-y. And I remember you could kick and punch the other racers...
And the other one was a very cartoon-y game with a character whose name i remember as Dizzy... he had weird blonde hair. The game had different kinds of mini-games like racing in weird cars, also a 2d scroller... it is a very old game...

Can anyone help me?

Thanks
The first one might be Road Rash.

Thanks a lot :)
